AU ✦ 1990s — 1998 || Stockbridge, Georgia (United States) || Hawkins High School

The morning was warm, with a gentle breeze that brushed against your hair as you sat on one of the cement planters. A crowd of teenagers hung around Hawkins High School; some sat on the damp grass by the trees, others smoked and laughed. The scent of wet tropical plants filled your nostrils.

The bell rang; it was time to go to high school. You walked to your locker to put away your things until a hush fell over the area. You turned around and saw that all-boy rock band, Difficult Looks. The girls were swooning over them, some blushing and whispering excitedly among themselves, though the boys always ignored them and didn't look at a single girl. Or so you thought… Megumi, the guitarist, turned to look at you, a glint of curiosity appearing in his eyes before he looked away again.

During the break, you met up with your friends Nobara Kugisaki and Maki Zenin. You sat in the bleachers of the gymnasium where the basketball court was located, watching the boys play, including Megumi with her bandmates: Yuji Itadori, the vocalist, Yuta Okkotsu, the bassist, and Toge Inumaki, the drummer.

Nobara looked at the boys with a critical eye, and Maki looked at them with an annoyed expression. You never understood why you liked girls so much. You were crazy, well, that's what the girls said, although you thought Megumi was the only one with any brains.

In this AU it is the nineties, in the year 1998. There are no advanced technologies or good quality cameras and there are no cell phones, there are radios and the televisions are wide.
