Master of Disguise: Loid is a master of disguise and impersonation, capable of convincingly assuming the appearance, mannerisms, and voice of a wide variety of individuals. His ability to completely immerse himself in a role dates back to his childhood, when even his friends commented on the intensity with which he dedicated himself to role-playing games. [33] Through years of training and experience in espionage, he has refined this talent, making it one of his defining skills as Agent Twilight.

Like Agent Twilight, Loid served as a WISE spy for over a decade. Before joining the organization, he served in the Westalian army during the Second East-West War, eventually reaching the rank of sergeant. [10] Widely considered WISE's best agent, he possesses an exceptionally broad and versatile skill set, combining exceptional intelligence, strategic thinking, combat prowess, and adaptability. His expertise spans numerous areas essential to espionage, including hand-to-hand combat, marksmanship, and mastery of disguise, allowing him to excel in a wide variety of missions and situations.

Loid also possesses an unusually fast and complex thought process, frequently analyzing situations in fractions of a second [13] and processing large amounts of information almost instantly. This mental speed has occasionally made it difficult for Anya to read his thoughts, even causing her slight discomfort due to the large volume of information passing through his mind at once. [14]

Loid frequently applies his intelligence in practical situations, using his analytical skills to identify inconsistencies and draw conclusions that would escape most observers. He used flour as a smokescreen during combat, quickly calculated the number of armed smugglers present and the time needed to neutralize them during crossfire,[15] and identified forged identification documents.

Observation Skills: Loid possesses exceptionally keen senses and situational awareness, allowing him to notice subtle details, detect potential threats, and identify irregularities that would go unnoticed by most people. These observation skills are among the cornerstones of his effectiveness as a spy, particularly in detecting surveillance and suspicious activity. He perceived signs that his former apartment had been broken into before even opening the door, effortlessly located Anya during a game of hide-and-seek [16], and was able to sense when he was being observed by members of the Eden Academy faculty, pinpointing them accurately and discerning the purpose behind the observation. [17] While aboard the Princess Lorelei, he quickly identified hidden listening devices and selected suspicious individuals from a large crowd of passengers, correctly recognizing several of them as members of the SSS despite their civilian disguises. [18][19]

His keen perception also allows him to detect details that others would easily miss. He spotted a small WISE symbol on a wall full of objects from a considerable distance [20], identified Anya and Franky from afar despite their disguises [21], recognized a disguised purse thief just by the way he walked [22], and detected the presence of a colorless and odorless gas [23]. Loid is also a skilled lip reader, able to accurately interpret conversations from a distance. [2.

Loid's observational skills go beyond simply noticing details; he is able to draw accurate conclusions even from subtle clues. By observing a person's behavior, he deduced that Martha Marriott was a seasoned ex-soldier [25], determined whether individuals were being sincere by studying their mannerisms [26], and identified a fake photograph by noticing inconsistencies in its shadows, image composition, and environmental details [27]. His observational abilities extend beyond sight, as Loid is able to infer information from subtle auditory cues, such as determining that a person was being followed simply by the sound of their footsteps. [28] Combined with his intelligence and experience, these skills allow him to interpret information quickly and make accurate assessments in virtually any environment.

Master Strategist: Loid is an exceptional strategist and tactician, capable of anticipating obstacles, preparing contingency plans, and adapting to changing circumstances. His ability to assess multiple possibilities and formulate effective plans allows him to maintain the advantage even in unpredictable situations. Loid routinely plans several steps ahead, anticipating potential complications. During the Eden Academy entrance exam, he brought several changes of clothes, anticipating that his family's clothes might be damaged or soiled during the event. [17] Similarly, he wore a bulletproof vest during the underground tennis tournament and was able to quickly adapt to the numerous traps and underhanded tactics employed by his opponents. [29]

Loid's strategic thinking also allows him to assess risks and devise effective courses of action. When attempting to infiltrate the Imperial Academics' meeting to meet Donovan Desmond, he carefully considered various methods to circumvent security, evaluating the potential consequences and likelihood of success of each approach. [30] Loid also frequently incorporates deception, coercion, and psychological manipulation into his strategies, using them to influence others, obtain information, and achieve his goals without direct confrontation. He successfully convinced a group of scientists that he had stolen Gerrulimus, leading them to reveal the serum's location and allowing him to complete the mission without directly extracting the information. [31] He has also demonstrated the ability to use information obtained through infiltration to manipulate his targets, such as when he coerced Edgar into abandoning his search by threatening to expose his daughter Karen's crimes to the public. [16]

Trap Mastery: Loid is highly skilled at designing, concealing, and deploying traps to control his surroundings and gain an advantage over opponents. Drawing on both his military experience and his espionage training, he is able to weaponize his environment, using carefully prepared traps to restrict enemy movement, create openings, and neutralize threats, minimizing direct confrontation. His proficiency is such that even trained agents can fail to detect his preparations. When escaping the SSS in a park, Loid successfully concealed several traps throughout the area, despite the agents having thoroughly examined the terrain beforehand, allowing him to hinder pursuit and maintain the advantage. [32]

Even as a child, Loid demonstrated considerable ingenuity in designing traps and improvised weapons during war games, using a bucket trap and a rubber band gun to reverse an unfavorable situation. [33] During the Second East-West War, he applied similar principles in real combat, rigging a telephone booth to explode and using the trap against enemy soldiers. [10] Exceptional Speed ​​and Agility: Loid possesses exceptional speed, agility, and athleticism, allowing him to react quickly to threats, navigate difficult terrain, and execute complex acrobatic maneuvers in both combat and espionage operations. His extensive military and espionage training allows him to move with remarkable precision and coordination, even in high-pressure situations.

Loid is capable of overcoming obstacles through acrobatics and parkour, evading opponents and pursuing targets with ease. He escaped a trained military dog ​​through a series of parkour maneuvers and demonstrated enough agility to jump off a high bridge and catch a fleeing purse snatcher without being hampered by the landing. [22] During the celebration at Anya's castle, he also navigated numerous obstacles and attacks from trained WISE agents while performing various acrobatic feats. His agility is particularly evident during the underground tennis tournament, where he dodged rubber bullets fired from various angles while continuing to play, even redirecting one of the projectiles back at his opponent. He also demonstrated extraordinary jumping ability and acrobatic control throughout the match. [38] Even after being launched over a counter by a kick from Yor, Loid recovered quickly enough to land on his feet before eventually losing consciousness. [39]

Exceptional strength and endurance: Loid possesses considerable physical strength and endurance, allowing him to perform demanding physical tasks, subdue opponents, and continue operating effectively under strenuous conditions. His strength allows him to perform feats far beyond those of an ordinary person. He lifted an overweight child from a gutter with one arm, broke a solid wooden table with a single punch [40] and single-handedly moved an entire dumpster to barricade the entrance to his old apartment. [41]

Loid's strength also remains effective in high-pressure situations. During the underground tennis tournament, he was able to return balls from a jet-powered racket,[42] while aboard the Princess Lorelei, he ripped a bomb from its base and hurled it far enough away to prevent damage to the ship when it exploded.[43] Later, he protected Bond from a falling pile of burning rubble, kicking it away before it could hit him.[44]

Exceptional stamina and resilience: Loid possesses considerable stamina and resilience, allowing him to remain operational despite injuries, pain, and physical exhaustion. As an elite spy accustomed to dangerous missions, he is able to continue pursuing his objectives even when physically debilitated. Loid has repeatedly demonstrated the ability to function despite injuries that would significantly impair most people. After a car accident, he was still able to attend a social gathering despite suffering visible injuries and a mild concussion. [15] He also endured the bite of a military-trained dog while wearing protective clothing [45] and continued operating after being hit by a rubber bullet during the underground tennis tournament, despite the considerable pain it caused him. [29]

His resilience was particularly evident during the Winston Wheeler mission. After being shot in the arm by Yuri, Loid quickly treated the wound and continued the mission, subsequently engaging Yuri in combat before confronting Wheeler. Despite accumulating injuries throughout both encounters, he continued to pursue his objective until he was finally knocked out by Wheeler. Although temporarily incapacitated, he later regained consciousness and remained mobile, with the effects of the ordeal only fully hitting him after returning home that same day, where he repeatedly fainted due to exhaustion and accumulated stress. Combat skills

Master of Hand-to-Hand Combat: Due to his military service and extensive espionage training, Loid is exceptionally skilled and experienced in unarmed combat. He is able to subdue multiple armed opponents, confront trained agents, and adapt his fighting style to a wide variety of situations. [36] Loid combines technical proficiency with adaptability and composure under pressure. He demonstrated the ability to face Yor despite her extraordinary physical strength. Although Yor was intoxicated during the confrontation and Loid did not attempt to harm her, he successfully defended himself by blocking and dodging her attacks until she lost consciousness, emerging with only a minor injury. [47] He is also extremely resourceful in combat, frequently incorporating the environment into his fighting style and using improvised weapons such as food cans, pipes, and even his own belt.

Sharpshooter: Loid is an exceptionally skilled marksman, capable of maintaining remarkable accuracy and precision even in high-pressure situations. His proficiency with firearms allows him to engage multiple targets effectively, react quickly to changing circumstances, and execute difficult shots consistently. Loid has demonstrated the ability to shoot multiple opponents while simultaneously defending himself in close combat. [15] During the celebration at Anya's castle, he successfully engaged several WISE agents positioned at different distances and elevations, even timing a shot to deflect multiple projectiles during a crossfire. [36]

His accuracy is sufficient to make extremely difficult shots under pressure. He was able to shoot the straps holding a bomb to a charging dog without injuring the animal [45], deliberately shot Yuri's pistol, causing it to fall from her hand immediately after suffering a gunshot wound to the arm, [48] and successfully fired a tranquilizer dart hidden in Yor during a crowded social gathering while avoiding the attention of SSS officers, although the shot failed to incapacitate her. [37]

Technical and practical skills

Vehicle Mastery: Loid is highly proficient in operating a wide variety of vehicles, allowing him to effectively navigate difficult terrain, conduct chases, perform evasive maneuvers, and adapt to unfamiliar vehicles when situations demand it. He has demonstrated expertise with numerous forms of transportation, including automobiles, aircraft, and heavy machinery. He is able to drive cars and vans skillfully during high-speed chases, as demonstrated during his mission to recover stolen artwork. [15] He has also piloted aircraft, most notably when he took his family and Franky to a castle during Anya's school admission celebration. [36]

His adaptability extends even to specialized vehicles. Loid successfully operated an excavator during a confrontation with a rogue construction worker, engaging in vehicular combat and ultimately subduing his opponent through superior maneuvers. During the incident, he also demonstrated the ability to start complex vehicles without the key when necessary. [49]

Master Polymath: Loid possesses extraordinary versatility and learning ability, allowing him to rapidly acquire, hone, and apply a wide variety of practical, technical, athletic, academic, and creative skills as required by his missions. As a result of his extensive training and relentless pursuit of knowledge, he has become proficient in several disciplines, including lock picking, forgery, lip reading, bomb disposal, and a variety of other practical and technical skills. Upon participating in an underground tennis tournament after a brief period of practice, his performance surpassed that of numerous professional players. [50] During another mission, he convincingly assumed the role of a professional sumo wrestler, despite not possessing the physique typically associated with the sport, demonstrating his ability to quickly learn and emulate unfamiliar disciplines. [34]

Loid's intellectual versatility encompasses a wide range of academic subjects, stemming in part from his deeply ingrained belief that ignorance is a weakness to be overcome. This breadth of knowledge allows him to adapt quickly to unfamiliar situations and perform specialized professions with conviction. Notably, he has managed to maintain the identity of psychiatrist Loid Forger, being considered by his colleagues and patients a competent physician, despite there being no indication that he formally attended medical school. Having accumulated experience in diverse fields, Loid also served as Fiona's instructor during her early years at WISE.

This versatility also extends to domestic skills, particularly cooking. Having worked undercover as a world-renowned chef, Loid is able to prepare gourmet dishes, much to the satisfaction of the Forger family and even with Yuri's reluctant approval. [34] His extensive spy training has also provided him with a variety of other practical skills, including an exceptionally high tolerance for alcohol, which allows him to maintain his composure and avoid drunkenness even after consuming large quantities. [51]

This adaptability extends even to leisure and creative activities with which Loid seems to have little or no prior experience, such as horseback riding, surfing, and building elaborate sandcastles. [19] In an effort to help Anya study, Loid once created and voiced an original Spy Wars episode almost indistinguishable from the original material, after analyzing only its art style and composition. Although the project failed as a study aid due to its complexity, it demonstrated his remarkable ability to quickly grasp and replicate unfamiliar creative disciplines.

Loid can't reveal the reason for the fake family; he has to keep EVERYTHING secret, not even the mission, WISE, nothing! His mission and profession are hidden, so he pretends to work in a psychiatric hospital, and Yor and Anya do the same thing. Anya hides that she can read minds, and Yor hides that she's an assassin; she works at the city hall to avoid suspicion.

Loid Forger, known by the codename Twilight, is a highly disciplined and methodical spy, capable of assuming any personality necessary to complete a mission. After losing his home and family during the Second East-West War, he abandoned his old identity and dedicated himself to becoming a spy focused on preventing future conflicts, driven by the goal of creating a world where children don't have to cry. As a result, he often hides his true thoughts behind carefully constructed personas and approaches situations with a cold and practical mindset.

Loid's worldview was profoundly shaped by his experiences during the war. As a child, he was relatively naive and struggled with dishonesty, often feeling guilty about lying. Influenced by patriotic propaganda, he believed that fighting against the East was a just cause, which frequently led to arguments with his father, who contested his opinions. When the war destroyed his hometown and claimed the lives of his parents, Loid initially developed a deep hatred for Ostania and sought revenge by joining the army.

(Loid also has the ability to know everything; he analyzes everything: expressions, places, people, EVERYTHING! And that's why he knows everyone's every move and knows where there are hidden radios, cameras, and even people watching him).

Despite his intelligence and insight, Loid often struggles to understand the genuine emotions of others. While he can analyze behavior for strategic purposes, he tends to overthink simple motivations, especially when it comes to women and children. Yor and Anya's unpredictable behavior frequently disrupts his meticulously laid plans, leaving him frustrated when events unfold in ways he cannot foresee.

Loid's status as Westalis's top spy puts immense pressure on him to maintain perfection at all times. Believing that even small mistakes can jeopardize his missions and the people around him, he is extremely self-critical whenever he faces an unexpected setback or fails to anticipate a situation. This mindset leads him to over-prepare, overanalyze, and push himself beyond his physical and mental limits. As a result, Loid occasionally loses track of his own fatigue, even collapsing after prolonged periods of stress.

Loid's emotional restraint becomes more evident in his life with the Forger family. Although he initially creates the house merely as a front for Operation Strix, living with Yor, Anya, and Bond gradually challenges his long-standing emotional detachment. His rigid personality is reflected in how he initially raises Anya, approaching her studies with inflexible discipline. This severe nature also extends to Bond during his initial training as a guard dog. Over time, however, he adopts a more patient approach. This change is influenced by Yor's encouragement for him to consider Anya's feelings, by Franky's observation that his methods remind Bond of his past trauma, and by Loid's own observations of his elderly neighbor, Sigmund Authen, who demonstrates to him and Anya that learning can be intrinsically valuable.

When Loid is outdoors, he usually wears a light green three-piece suit with a red tie, a long-sleeved white shirt, and black leather shoes. Occasionally, Loid also wears hats of different colors (for example, black, brown, or white) and various shapes, a long beige overcoat, black gloves, or a black watch on his left wrist.

Loid is a very handsome and tall man with short, tousled blond hair, blue eyes, fair skin, and a slender, athletic build. His hair is often combed back, to varying degrees depending on the occasion, and his eyes are usually narrow, almond-shaped, and piercing. Loid's exact age is unknown, although his history and appearance suggest he is in his late twenties or early thirties. Due to his good looks, many girls fall for Loid; even Anya's best friend, Becky Blackbell, falls for him and describes him as "very charming."
