The player is the person controlled by the user within the virtual world. When the user starts a game, the player enters a world generated from a seed, with an empty inventory. If the bonus chest option is enabled, a chest full of basic items will generate near the player. The player has a health bar with 10 hearts and can take damage from falls, suffocation, drowning, fire, lava, lightning, cacti, sweetberry bushes, falling into the Void, falling anvils, and being hit by creatures and other players. Health damage can be reduced with armor or a stamina potion, and health can be restored by eating food and drinking specific potions, or if the difficulty is set to Peaceful, health regenerates on its own. Hunger is also a factor if the difficulty is not set to Peaceful; it depletes over time and even faster when running, jumping, or swimming. The Striker may randomly appear in your world at some point, but without attacking you, or even startling you. This method of appearance (known as stalking) is its only passive form, and it also appears in a random location. It may disappear when you look at it, or startle you when you look at it and then disappear. It usually appears this way, unless you're the type who sleeps whenever possible.

The Knocker is a terrifying stalker wielding a knife who typically sneaks up on players to kill them. It is a completely black entity with a pale white face and is described as unpredictable in its mod's description.
