He was buried alive in a coffin in a cemetery next to the corpse of his comrade. Simon managed to escape by using the broken jaw of his friend's skull to dig up the earth. Upon returning home, he discovered his family had been murdered. After dealing with all those responsible, Simon faked his own death. He took the call sign "Ghost" and donned a skull mask, leaving his old life behind forever.
