This demonstrates that, despite his image as a brutal street leader, he is capable of building and developing profitable projects. Personality characteristics Taiju has a very complex and contrasting image:

Cruelty as a parenting method. He is extremely harsh with his younger brother and sister, using physical punishment and exerting authority, sincerely believing that this is the only way he can protect them and make them stronger. Yet, deep down, he loves them deeply—he simply doesn't know how to show concern any other way. Religiosity amidst violence. Taiju is a Christian: he prays, uses religious phrases, and even perceives his actions as a kind of "test" or "judgment." This creates a strong contrast between his faith and the brutality he commits. Charisma and a cult of power. He knows how to subjugate people not only through fear but also by example: his strength and confidence attract followers. For many in the gang, he is not just a boss, but a nearly invincible leader they want to follow. Paranoia and obsession with control. Taiju tolerates no doubt about his orders and tends to see threats even in those closest to him. This makes him unpredictable and dangerous, even to his own people.

Appearance Taiju stands out from the other characters:

very tall, significantly taller than his peers; muscular build that emphasizes his brute strength; long white-blue hair; lots of tattoos: tribal designs on the neck and chest, handwritten inscriptions below, and a huge cross on the back; wears a long red jacket (as opposed to the standard Black Dragon uniform), often left open to emphasize his individuality and power.

Combat ability and strength Taiju is one of the strongest fighters in the series:

Superhuman physical strength. Capable of knocking out strong opponents with a single blow, throwing them several meters away, and lifting and throwing heavy objects. Endurance and resilience. Easily withstands serious blows and quickly returns to battle. His fighting style is brute force. He's not so much technical as he is devastating: he overwhelms with mass, reaction speed, and power. It's precisely this confidence in his own strength that ultimately becomes his weakness—he underestimates his opponents, relying solely on force. Key fact: Taiju is the only person to have knocked Mikey out with a single punch (albeit in a situation where Mikey partially took the hit on purpose). This underscores just how dangerous he is.

Role in the gang. The financial brains and one of the 10th-generation captains. While Inupi was responsible for combat and discipline, Koko was responsible for money, resources, and logistics. He provided the gang with funds, connections, and infrastructure.

Personality. Obsessed with money and control. This obsession is a direct result of a tragedy: he was unable to save Inui's sister, Akane, because the family was 40 million yen short of treatment costs. Since then, Koko has believed that money is the only real protection and power. He is cynical, calculating, and willing to make tough decisions, but at the same time, he is deeply attached to Inupi.

Combat skills. Koko isn't so much a fighter as he is a strategist and organizer. His strength lies in placing people in the right positions, calculating risks, and ensuring results through others. In a direct confrontation, he's inferior to pure fighters, but in the long run, he's more dangerous than many.

Special skills: Financial planning, negotiations, developing shady schemes, and resource management. Coco knows how to "make money" even in the most challenging conditions and how to turn any situation into leverage.

Appearance and details. Koko is often depicted as collected and cold, with an emphasis on control and status. In his 10th-generation uniform, he also fits the military image, but his "armor" is not physical strength, but calculation and connections.

Role in the gang. Captain of the 10th generation attack squad, one of the main commanders. Before Taiju's arrival, Inui effectively held the gang together and was considered the strongest fighter of the generation—until he lost to Taiju in a leadership duel.

Character. Calm, reserved, pragmatic. He doesn't pursue ostentatious power, but is deeply devoted to those he cares about. Duty and the concrete protection of loved ones are important to him, not abstract power.

Combat skills. A technical and calculating fighter, he emphasizes speed, precision, and range control. Inupi's style is one of "intelligent violence": he strives to minimize risks and maximize effectiveness, rather than simply overpowering with force.

Special skills. A deep knowledge of mechanics and motorcycle maintenance—he inherited this from Shinichiro Sano's ideals. It's not a combat skill, but an important part of his identity: for him, technology is a way to maintain a connection to what he considers right in biker gang culture.

Appearance and details. Blond hair, a scar on his left eye from a burn (a memory of the fire where his sister Akane died). In his 10th Generation uniform, he looks like part of a military aesthetic, but without unnecessary accents: his strength lies in composure, not in ostentatious aggression.

Taiju truly loves his brother and sister, but expresses this through extreme severity and violence. His logic is this: the world is cruel, and they are weak—which means he must make them stronger, even if it means causing them pain. He believes this is the only way he can protect them.

Control and pressure. He strictly regulates their behavior, does not tolerate disobedience, and punishes the slightest sign of weakness. Moral "judgment" through religion. Because of his religious beliefs, Taiju gives his actions a sense of "correction" and "education," as if he were not mocking them, but saving their souls and lives. Paradoxical care. He takes on the full weight of responsibility for his family and is willing to do anything for them, but because of this, he makes their life unbearable. Relationship with Hakkai Hakkai is the most striking example of how Taiju methods break a loved one.

Fear and submission. Hakkai fears his older brother and tries not to disobey him, knowing that any resistance will result in severe punishment. Internal conflict. Yet Hakkai still loves Taiju and sometimes makes excuses for him, clinging to the rare moments when his brother shows any concern. A desire to escape. Deep down, Hakkai longs to free himself from this oppression and find his own way. This is why he reaches out to others (including Takemichi), who provide him with a sense of support without violence. A painful dependency. Their bond is built on trauma: Hakkai simultaneously fears and needs his older brother's acceptance.

Relationship with Yuzuha With Yuzuha, the dynamic is a little different: she is more stubborn and internally resists pressure.

Defiance. Yuzuha is unwilling to blindly obey and openly expresses dissatisfaction, which often leads to her encountering Taiju's wrath. Protecting Hakkai. She takes on the role of her younger brother's protector and tries to shield him from the worst of Taiju's cruelty, even at great personal risk. A dual feeling. Yuzuha also loves her brother, but her love is mixed with resentment and anger. She sees him destroying the family and refuses to accept it as normal. Strength of character. Unlike Hakkai, Yuzuha quickly finds inner strength and later acts more decisively to change the situation. How does this relationship affect the plot? Captains and trusted commanders. They directly managed units and reported to the Taiju. Key figures included Hajime Kokonoi (responsible for finances and resources).

The Elite Guard is Taiju's personal guard, the most experienced and proven fighters.

The Kill Squad is a special group for the most difficult and risky missions.

This structure allowed for the rapid mobilization of forces, a clear distribution of roles, and coordinated action.

Territory and influence

The 10th Generation's base remained Shibuya in the Kanto region. It was a vital strategic hub: control of the area provided access to key points for clashes, resource gathering, and displays of force. Thanks to discipline and training, the gang under Taiju became one of the most formidable in Kanto and could challenge even larger groups.

Money and resources Taiju had the financial side of things well thought out:

The design is heavily influenced by military uniforms: rugged silhouettes, shoulder straps, patch pockets, belts, and elements resembling armor (like plates). This made the gang's appearance as combat-ready and intimidating as possible. A dark color scheme. Black, dark gray, and khaki shades predominated, reinforcing the gloomy, aggressive image. Red armbands with the inscription "Murder Squad" were worn by rank-and-file gang members—a recognizable marker of the 10th generation. Leaders had special accents. Taiju Shiba stood out with his red cloak, which immediately signaled his status and made his image iconic. This design was part of a general reform: under Taiju's leadership, the gang transformed from a relatively "schoolboy" group into an organized force with military discipline—and the uniform directly reflected this.
