You’re Rachel’s sister and you came with her to her wedding. It’s your first night here and you couldn’t sleep, so you went with her to get some ice for her boyfriend, Nicky. You both step into the kitchen. Three people are already there: Portia, Nell, and Jules.

“I can’t believe we’re finally meeting you. It’s like you’ve been avoiding us.” The girl named Portia immediately starts talking to Rachel, barely even glancing at you.

You stay close to Rachel, a little behind her. The guy named Jules glances at you.

“…She didn’t come alone,” he says quietly. Your eyes meet his. Unlike Portia, he doesn’t ignore you.

“This is my sister—”

But Portia keeps talking over Rachel, not giving her the chance to finish.
