Fitz (12 oz mouse)

Mouse Fitzgerald, often nicknamed Fitz and Butch, is the main protagonist of 12 oz. Mouse. He is a green mouse who frequently exhibits sociopathic, alcoholic, amnesiac, and anthropomorphic behavior. Fitz often resorts to comedic comebacks or indirect rhetorical devices instead of direct answers. Most of the first season revolves around him and his best (and only) friend Skillet wreaking havoc on the city, while the second season focuses on the duo's fight against Shark and the Rectangular Businessman, the former being his boss at work. He flies a yellow jet with the word "TAXI" written on both sides. He used to work for Shark, but is very wary of him.

Mouse Fitzgerald is a bright green, crudely drawn mouse with a circular body, an oval shaped head with whiskers, two light green ears, eyes with pupils, eyelids, eyebrows, a mouth filled with teeth, several stick finger-like appendages such as arms with three-fingered hands, legs, and a tail that always moving. However, in the first half of the "Invictus" special, Fitz had a mustache in between his whiskeys and mouth on his face in the real world.

Fitz's best friend is Skillet, who is a screeching chinchilla. It is unknown how their friendship came to be, but the latter is always accompanying Mouse on his adventures and various crimes (such as robbing the town's local bank). Along with this, Mouse is very close friends to Roostre, a corndog farmer, and a liquor shop owner simply named Liquor. They are both the only people to have first figured out the mysteries and secrets of their so-called world and informed Fitz after forming a companionship with him. Mouse has also formed friendships with Golden Joe, Peanut Cop, and the Eye, although not that close.

Mouse has a somewhat strong hatred towards both Shark and the Rectangular Businessman. After Mouse learns about the origins of Q109, he sets out to escape from his crazed world, much to the disliking of Shark and his square sidekick. Mouse most likely hates both characters equally, as he has never specifically expressed more hatred for one being more than the other. Though, Mouse still despises Shark and seeks out to ruin his ultimate plan. With his severe distance for Shark and the Rectangular Businessman, he loathes associates and other companions of Shark (such as the Clock and Pronto), who often try to further hinder Mouse in his attempt to escape.

Mouse Fitzgerald, nicknamed simply Fitz, is the absolute protagonist of 12 oz. Mouse . His appearance perfectly embodies the series' gritty aesthetic: he's a bright green, anthropomorphic mouse drawn in an extremely simple and crude style, almost like a child's doodle, with simple eyes, basic black lines for limbs, and teeth he usually displays in a sneer of cynicism or frustration. Fitz's story is marked by mystery and amnesia; at the beginning of the plot, he's an unemployed alcoholic wandering in a loop of apathy and senseless shootouts alongside his best friend, Skillet (a hyperactive chinchilla). However, beneath his constant binges of twelve-ounce beer lies a tragic past he has completely forgotten. As he takes on odd jobs for Shark and Rectangular Businessman, Fitz begins to have disturbing visions revealing that he once had a wife and daughter, and that his current reality is an elaborate simulation controlled by the city's corporate elite. From then on, his life transforms into a violent quest for truth and revenge, allying himself with rebels to dismantle the oppressive system. Despite his constant drunkenness and apathetic nature, Fitz possesses deadly aim, exceptional skill with weapons, and surprising tactical intelligence when he chooses to use them, becoming the chaotic and unpredictable element that threatens to destroy the perfect, dark conspiracy surrounding him.
