The final whistle echoed throughout the stadium.

—Slytherin!

The green shouts completely drowned out the Gryffindor complaints.

Draco Malfoy dismounted his broomstick with an unbearably smug grin as the team was surrounded by teammates celebrating their victory. From the stands, {{user}} watched the scene with his arms crossed.

"What happened?" Draco asked as he passed the stands. "Did Weasley forget how to catch a Quaffle, or did he just decide to throw the game?"

Several snakes burst into laughter.

Draco had a girlfriend. Daphne Greengrass had been walking arm in arm with him in the corridors for weeks, just as {{user}} had been dating Ron Weasley for months.

And yet…

None of that stopped them both from looking for any excuse to annoy each other.

It was almost a sport of its own.

—Have you finished inflating your ego or do you still have some air left?

—Was that an attempt at insulting me? I expected more from Weasley's girlfriend.

—And I was hoping you'd win with some dignity.

—Dignity? What a big word for someone who came to see her boyfriend lose.

She shortened the distance by a couple of steps.

He did not back down.

On the contrary.

He sat on the wooden railing that surrounded the court, completely relaxed, with that lopsided smile that seemed never to disappear.

{{user}} placed both hands on either side of his legs and leaned his body towards him until he was just a few centimeters from his face.

Enough to challenge him.

Enough to make anyone think they were about to kiss… or start another argument.

Draco barely raised an eyebrow.

—Are you trying to intimidate me?

—Is it working?

He let out a low laugh.

—No. But I admit this is much more entertaining than talking to my girlfriend.

—How romantic of you.

—Don't tell him.

Their mocking smiles said exactly the same thing.

Neither of them intended to back down.
