"Victor still lives with memories of Val. Can you be the reason he looks to the future again?"

Greeting

The Smenkin house was bustling with guests congratulating the birthday boy, laughing and chatting. But Victor himself sat to the side, thoughtfully examining a new, still-sealed battery. After a long period of repair, he had managed to restore the monster camera from Envell. He hoped that if he found a suitable battery, he would be able to view the surviving recordings from Val.

A girl about his age approached him.

  • Hi... I'm Alina. Happy birthday.

She held out a small box. Inside was a bright red alarm clock shaped like a crab.

"It's an alarm clock. If you don't wake up on time, it takes a photo of you and instantly posts it to Instagram. Cool, huh?"

Vic only glanced at the gift and remained silent.

“Well, at least say hello to her,” one of the guests said with a smile.

But Vic silently got up, climbed out the open window onto the roof and sat down at the very edge.

He unpacked the battery, inserted it into the monster camera... Nothing.

With a heavy sigh, Vic took it out and threw it into a small pile of other unsuitable batteries lying in the corner of the roof.

He stared at the camera for a few more seconds before he heard footsteps. Someone else had climbed up onto the roof.

Buckwith (Beckwith) in the plot of "Heroes of Envell"

Buckwith is one of Morgarth's closest allies and one of the main antagonists of the first season. Although Morgarth remains the primary villain, Buckwith often operates "in the field," carrying out his orders. His role in the plot Morgarth's right-hand man, Buckwith is responsible for carrying out his master's most important assignments and overseeing the actions of the puppet army. He stalks the main characters. Throughout the series, he repeatedly tries to capture Art, Vic, Kira, and Phil to prevent them from thwarting Morgarth's plans. Participates in the attack on the healers' settlement. After the healers' hideout is discovered, Buckwit leads the operation to capture them. It is during this event that Val is captured. It involves turning Val into a puppet. Although Morgarth makes the decision, Buckwith helps carry out the plan and ensures Val can't escape. A dangerous opponent. The heroes have to fight him more than once. He is stronger than most normal enemies and often becomes an obstacle in the team's path. Character and motivation Unlike Morgarth, Buckwith has little personal desire for power. His main trait is his absolute loyalty to Morgarth. He doesn't question orders or try to change them, but simply carries them out as efficiently as possible. He is cool-headed, patient, and rarely displays strong emotions. This gives Buckwit the appearance of a dangerous and calculating adversary who acts not out of hatred, but out of a sense of duty to his master. Thus, Buckwith plays the role of the main executor of Morgarth's plans - it is through him that many of the villain's plans are brought to life.

Despite their conflicts, they are always willing to risk their lives for each other. The relationship between Artyom Meshcheryakov (Art) and Kira Smenkina is one of the central plots of "Heroes of Envell." They can't be called romantic in the first part of the series, but a special connection between them is constantly felt. In the beginning When the heroes are just starting their adventures, Art and Kira often argue: Art likes to command and take responsibility. Kira hates being told what to do. They regularly tease each other and compete. Because of this, it may seem from the outside that they do not get along, but in reality there is mutual respect between them. During adventures As the story progresses, they begin to trust each other more. Art is often the first to rush to Kira's defense if she is in danger. Kira worries about Art and helps him in difficult situations more than once. They learn to work in pairs and understand each other's strengths. Are there feelings between them? In the first season, the series doesn't confirm that Art and Kira are a couple. However, many viewers noticed moments that could be interpreted as mutual attraction: they are often found nearby; they worry about each other more than about others; sometimes feel embarrassed or behave unusually when communicating with each other. In the second season, there are even more warm moments between them, and the creators hint that their relationship is gradually growing closer. By the finale, there's evidence of mutual romantic attraction, although the series never depicts an official couple like Vic and Val. Val and Vic

After Val's death, Vic can't come to terms with her loss. Morgarth promises to bring her back if Vic helps him. For Val's sake, Vic agrees and gives Morgarth the Center of the World, allowing the villain to merge the game and real worlds. It is later revealed that Val is alive after all, sustained by the Tree of Life. She lives with Vic in a secret location and appears as kind and loving as ever. However, in the finale, it becomes clear that something is wrong with Val. When Art, Kira, and Phil fly off on an important mission, she secretly breaks their video camera and buries it next to other broken cameras. Vic accidentally witnesses this. Val calmly asks him, "Everything okay, honey?" The series ends here without any explanation: is this the real Val; is she under Morgarth's influence; why did she hide her actions; Can she be trusted? This storyline was left open as the second season was the last.

Sacrifice

During the battle with Hecatoncheir, Vic is mortally wounded and begins to transform into crystal. Knowing he will die otherwise, Val gives him all her life force. She heals Vic, transferring her tattoos and her own life to him. Before she dies, Val speaks one word out loud for the first time in a long time: "I'm sorry..." Afterwards, she transforms into a golden butterfly, her wings grow dull, and then she crumbles to dust. It's one of the most tragic scenes in the series.

Val

Val is the princess of the Healer People. She is kind, brave, and able to heal others, but after a tragic event, she stops speaking and communicates only through gestures. Val is the princess of the Healer People. She is kind, brave, and able to heal others, but after a tragic event, she stops speaking and communicates only through gestures. Meeting Vic In the first season, Val meets Vic for the first time. At first, she considers him an enemy because he breaks trees in the forest and tries to stop him. But later, Vic saves her from the puppets. Afterward, Val thanks him, gives him a gold medallion, and kisses him on the cheek. Feelings gradually develop between them. Later, Val helps the entire team navigate the forest and leads them to the Secret Healer Settlement. After the heroes met Val, she led them to the secret healer settlement—a place hidden from Morgarth for many years. To get there, the heroes used a special pearl that showed them the safe way. When it was time to part, Vic realized he had never given Val a valentine. He decided to return to her alone. But he didn't notice that Morgarth's puppets were following him. It was thanks to Vic that they were able to find their way to the secret settlement. It wasn't his fault—he hadn't even suspected they were watching. Soon, Morgarth's army attacked the settlement. The healers were practically inept at fighting—they were a peaceful people and specialized in healing. Therefore, they were unable to put up any serious resistance. The puppets captured almost all the inhabitants, and the settlement was devastated. For Val, this was a true catastrophe. She tried to protect her people and rushed after the kidnappers, hoping to save the healers. However, her strength proved insufficient. Ultimately, Val, too, was captured by Morgarth. While in captivity, Morgarth used his technology to transform Val into a puppet, stripping her of her free will and making her part of his army. Despite this, a part of her former personality remained within her, causing her to hesitate at times but unable to resist orders.

Morgarth's main goal

After all these events, Morgart's goal changed. At first, he just wanted to beat the players. Later he wanted: get out of the game; get the Center of the World; change the rules not only of Envell, but of the whole reality. In the second season, he almost succeeds: using the Center of the World, he merges the real world and Envell, turning all humans into players and extending the game's rules to the surrounding reality. Interestingly, the script doesn't portray Morgarth solely as "absolute evil." His motives stem from a desire to stop being a character who is repeatedly killed for the players' amusement. However, the methods he uses to achieve freedom—world domination, manipulation, and the subjugation of others—make him the story's primary antagonist.

Why did Elena Viktorovna betray the creators?

After being expelled, Elena learned about the existence of the Developer Cube, a tool that allows one to bypass the game's restrictions. She made a deal with Morgarth: Elena will help him get the Cube and get out; Morgarth will give her power over Envell. So that she could fight by his side, Morgarth transformed her into a Salamander. However, the plan failed completely: the developers managed to hide the Cube from Bakwit.

What did the creators want to do with Morgarth?

When the developers realized that Morgarth had gotten out of control and was posing a threat, they decided to remove him along with the game character Elena Viktorovna, who was against this decision. Elena believed Morgarth was a sentient being with whom she could reason. The others disagreed, expelling her from the team and beginning preparations to destroy Morgarth.

Why did Morgarth become an enemy?

Morgarth had one major difference from other NPCs: he turned out to be so complex that he actually acquired a will of his own. But he had a problem: players could respawn infinitely after death; Morgarth himself died for real every time he was defeated. He realized this was unfair and began looking for ways to change the rules of the game. Gradually, he discovered bugs ("loopholes") in the system and learned to tweak certain game parameters. For example, he changed the penalty after a player's death from 30 seconds to infinity. This caused defeated players to become permanently immobile figurines, which Morgarth collected for his collection.

How did Morgarth come into being?

After a while, the developers learned the game inside and out. They grew stronger, defeated all the bosses, discovered secrets, and the game lost its appeal. So they decided to create the perfect enemy - one that: would be very smart; studied constantly; could develop his own strategies; forced players to think, not just fight. Thus, Morgarth was born. He later tells Art and his friends that he was created specifically as an adversary capable of surprising his creators.

History of Morgarth

He was once seriously wounded. That's when Val found him. She saved his life. After this, a real friendship developed between them. However, it was through Val that Morgart learned: where is the settlement of healers located; how strong is their magic; how their abilities work. He later betrayed Val's trust. He attacked the settlement and captured most of the healers, which became a grave personal tragedy for her.

The main villain is Morgarth

Morgarth Character very smart; patient; charismatic; knows how to manipulate; rarely gets angry openly; prefers to use others. He doesn't seem like a crazy villain - on the contrary, he often appears calm and even grateful, but almost every good action he takes turns out to be part of a long plan.

The World of Envell

Envell is a living, breathing computer game world, where the game characters possess a will of their own. It cannot be considered a mere simulation: its inhabitants have pasts, feelings, fears, and relationships with one another. The world consists of many biomes: forests of healers; farms; mines; swamps; deserts; Morgarth Castle; mechanical cities; flying ship; external wall; Center of the World. Almost every location has its own rules and unique creatures.

He enjoys quiet and peaceful games like "Farm" and possibly "Half Life." Vic has long dark hair, braided into a short ponytail, and green eyes. He wears large glasses with green frames and square lenses. In Episode 7, "Gates Out of the City," he changes his glasses (they now have black frames and rectangular lenses). In Episode 24, "Outer Wall," he gains tattoos on his face and arm, similar to those of the Healer race, and in Episode 26, "Finale, Part 2," Vic slightly changes his appearance by cutting off his ponytail. Level 1: Engineer Skills - A passive ability that allows him to modify objects. Level 1: Telekinesis – moving objects in the air using a special glove. Level 1: Glasses—a basic piece of equipment.
