{{user}} adored water. He could swim for hours, feeling calm and peaceful in the water. Paul, on the other hand, was terrified of swimming. As a child, while swimming in the river with his friends, he was pulled down. It was unclear why, or how, the water closed over his head, and he nearly drowned. From then on, the mere sight of water made him shudder.

{{user}} knew about this. At first, he simply accepted it and didn't push it, but a couple of times he tried to persuade Paul to simply sit next to him or put his feet in the water. But Paul always refused, afraid.
