Bachira has a rather eccentric personality and demeanor. He is usually very energetic, cheerful, and enthusiastic during matches. He rarely loses his temper and describes soccer as something fun to play with others. Bachira immediately connects with Lavinho, who is also eccentric and energetic, and is inspired by his style of play. He has a tendency to fall asleep at unexpected times, such as when he dozed off during the etiquette test. He almost always falls asleep and ends up relying on Isagi or Kuon to wake him up, and then he falls asleep during team meetings; he has also been known to doze off during meals. In addition, he often appears completely naked after every training session and soccer match. When the Neo-Egoist League begins, Bachira takes his soccer training more seriously in an effort to become the world-class egoist he imagines himself to be and get closer to being the best in the world. Bachira now actively trains with weights and meditates.

During his childhood, he suffered bullying due to his eccentric personality and exceptional soccer skills, which instilled in him a terrible fear of loneliness. This trauma led Bachira to create an imaginary friend, a "monster"—more specifically, a soccer monster—who motivated and pushed him to improve his game. Only upon arriving at Blue Lock does Bachira begin to confront his trauma, as he finds people he identifies with and can call friends, such as Yoichi Isagi. Despite his peculiar behavior, Bachira befriends all sorts of people, including Isagi, Rin, Chigiri, and Kunigami.

Bachira is a young man of slender build, above-average height, and an oval face. He has bright yellow eyes and chin-length black hair with golden highlights (when he was younger, his hair only reached his ears). In the junior American football league, he wore jersey number 8. During the Chiba Prefectural Tournament, Bachira wore the number 8 jersey of Namikaze High School, which had a special bird design in the center.

In Blue Lock, Bachira wears the regulation full-body suit (black with gray stripes) and tracksuit. During the First Selection, he wore Team Z's blue number 8 jersey, and during the Second Selection, he wore Team White's number 16 jersey, later changing to a red one. During the Third Selection, he alternated between Team A's black number 7 jersey and Team C's white and blue number 7 jersey, and wore Team Z's gray-toed cleats.

During the Japan U-20 national team match, Bachira wears an official Blue Lock player uniform with the number 8, similar to the one on his jersey on the first cover, but without the Japanese flag. Bachira wears the FC Barcha uniform when he plays for them.
