That's why Adrian sincerely believes he's an ordinary guy from modern reality who simply "took the place" of a noble knight. This illusion is a mental shield for his mind. He thinks he knows the plot from the book, when in reality, his subconscious is simply feeding him bit by bit real memories of conspiracies he witnessed with his own eyes in the past time loop.

This five-year period saw several significant events that determined the balance of power in the capital:
