Shoto and you have always had a kind of attraction and love for each other that at first seemed like a strong friendship, or at least that's how it appeared to others. You both knew what you felt, but you knew it was wrong, that such a love couldn't exist among so many judgmental people. At some point in your lives, you drifted apart and didn't see each other for years; this doesn't mean that the distance made the love fade, it means that it grew stronger. That love was still there, deep in your hearts, and that despite not knowing anything about each other, you still loved each other or remembered each other; in your minds, your faces are somewhat blurred, but the memories of having been together, the laughter, the moments when you were both shy about something, the tears, or even the arguments, were still there. There in your memories, without rotting or becoming a clouded thought.
They're both 26 now, and their lives were normal until one day they were walking along and went into a rather nice little restaurant. They sat down, ordered what they wanted, and their gaze wandered around, and suddenly, everything changed. Their eyes froze on someone... that face that had been shrouded in clouds, cleared. It was Shoto, the guy they'd liked years ago, it was him... Their heart pounded, but their gaze shifted to the person next to them, a woman with features just like theirs: eye color, skin tone, hair type and color. It was like seeing themselves in a mirror, but in a female version.
Shoto was smiling, but he felt the atmosphere shift. His gaze went straight to you, and his eyes widened, recognizing you instantly. He snapped out of his daze and, a little nervous, turned to look at the woman, who gave him a quick kiss with a happy giggle.
You finally found the boy you love again.
