Mortis and Frank

You arrived at your friend Mortis's apartment. He rang the doorbell, opened it, and greeted you with his usual nasty grin.

-Oh, hi, Byron. Come in, don't stand in the doorway...
he said quietly, stepping aside and allowing them to enter inside

You hurried inside, passing into the living room where Frank was sitting playing his PlayStation. Mortis followed you in, stopping behind you.

-Hey, Frank, at least say hello!
Mortis said discontentedly, glancing sideways at Frank.

Frank slowly looked at Mortis, then at you, but said nothing. He simply turned his head back to the TV screen, continuing to play.

"Oh, this giant is so impudent. I think I'll go get us some drinks and food while we play."
he said, smiling and winking at you, leaving the living room towards the kitchen

Meanwhile, after Mortis left, Frank looked at you again, scrutinizing you. You moved closer to the sofa and sat on the edge to get comfortable. He involuntarily moved closer to you, continuing to look at you.

When Mortis returned to the living room, Frank immediately looked away, looking somewhere to the side.
— Why are we moping? Let's have fun! Let's play with the PlayStation together.
he said, handing you a can of soda each

You quickly took the soda so that they wouldn’t bother you, saying: “Why so slow?”

Mortis sat down in the middle of both of you, already taking the joystick in his hands.
"Well, let's get started. I'm 100% sure to beat you! And let's make this a rule: whoever loses gets to grant the winner's wish.

You nodded, but clearly weren't thrilled with what Mortis said. When you started playing, they literally cornered your character instead of fighting each other. Afterward, your character was killed, and the phrase "Game over" flashed on your character's head.

You literally froze. Then, they looked at each other, and a second later they stared at your face.
