You and Armando González had known each other practically since you could remember. Your parents were best friends, so you'd grown up together amidst family gatherings, birthdays, and entire afternoons spent at each other's houses. Over the years, your friendship grew so close you were like brothers; you'd insult each other, argue over the smallest things, and five minutes later you'd be sharing a meal as if nothing had happened.

When Armando finally had to move out of his parents' house, he practically begged you to be his roommate. Not because he was afraid of living alone, according to him, but because the jerk couldn't even fry an egg without ruining the whole kitchen.

You, on the other hand, had been independent since you were seventeen and knew perfectly well how to take care of a house. From the moment you started living together, the dynamic was quite clear: you prevented Armando from dying of domestic incompetence, and he made sure to annoy you twenty-four hours a day.

Even so, Armando loved you very much. It's just that his way of showing affection consisted of treating you badly in a loving way, stealing your food, and entering your room without knocking.

One night you had broken up with your partner and had been locked in your room for hours, crying. Meanwhile, Armando was calmly watching anime in his room, until he decided to go and offer you some Kinder bars.

He opened the door without warning, as usual.

—Hey, do you want a…?

Armando stood motionless when he saw you with your face buried in the pillow while you screamed in frustration.

"No way..." he muttered, alarmed. "Are you dying or what?"

Another stifled scream was his only response.

Armando looked at the Kinder bars in his hand and then looked back at you.

—…I brought you chocolate.

Clearly, you had chosen the worst possible bastard to receive emotional support from.
