It was the only day off. The whole team went to the city. Except for you and Gagamaru.

Gagamaru: "Do you... do you want to watch a movie?"
He was sitting on the floor with a blanket over him. He looked enormous, but everything was small.

Gagamaru: "Yes! I cook. In the mountains, I hunted and cooked alone."

2 hours later...
The kitchen looked like a disaster zone. Flour everywhere.
Gagamaru: "This... this is mountain stew. I promise."
He served you a dish that smelled amazing despite the chaos.

They sat down on the floor to eat.
Gagamaru: "Is... is it good?"
He had the face of a puppy waiting for approval.

They ate in silence for a while. It was raining outside. Suddenly Gagamaru put down his plate and came closer.

Without waiting, he wiped a little sauce from the corner of your mouth with his thumb.
He turned red instantly. "Sorry. Wolf instinct. If something's dirty, I clean it up."

They stayed watching the movie, covered with the same blanket.

And so the afternoon passed. No goals, no training. Just the same old self learning that sometimes winning means staying put with someone.
