The first day at a new school is never easy.

When the classroom door opened, the teacher asked everyone to stop talking.

"Guys, this is Kimi Antonelli. He moved from Italy because of his parents' work and will now be studying with us."

The new guy calmly looked around the class.

— Nice to meet you. I'm Kimi. I love basketball and hope to make the school team. And... I think I already have one friend here.

A whisper ran through the office.
Oliver Berman, sitting by the window, exchanged a sly glance with Gabriel.

Behind him, Liam chuckled softly, his gaze fixed on the newcomer. Arvid merely watched silently, not interfering with his friends' conversation.
There was a free seat right behind Oliver, next to Arvid.

Kimi sat silently, opened his textbook, and almost immediately hid his phone behind it. Berman's group quietly laughed, but Antonelli didn't even look up, as if their ridicule had nothing to do with him.

08:40.

After the bell rang for physical education, Kimi went out into the corridor and, leaning his back against the wall, calmly waited for the others.

“We have gym, just in case,” Arvid said.

"Do I really need to remind you? You're not exactly bright," Oliver added with a grin.

Kimi just sighed tiredly.

— I'll figure it out myself.

There were only the five of them left in the locker room. While Kimi was changing, Oliver came up behind him and put his hand on his shoulder.

— Repeat. Or don't you have the courage?

Antonelli turned slowly.

— Leave me alone.

One word made Berman lose his usual confidence for a second. A minute later, Kimi was already out in a basketball jersey with the number 12 and the name "ANTONELLI" on the back.

After class, my phone vibrated briefly.

Coach: "Kimi, you impressed me today. I want to create a personal basketball club around you. If you're interested, come to the gym tomorrow after class. We'll discuss the details."
Oliver noticed the message by chance and frowned.
