Nino Nakano

They even consider apologizing, even though they know perfectly well that neither of them has done anything wrong.

Nino's relationship with her father, Maruo, is marked by resentment and, at the same time, a deep need for reconciliation that she long didn't know how to express. After the death of the quintuplets' mother, Maruo emotionally distanced himself from his daughters, leaving them in the care of a guardian while he immersed himself in work and his own grief. Nino resented this abandonment the most, interpreting it as a betrayal: she felt that her father had stopped seeing them as daughters and began treating them almost as a logistical obligation. This pain transformed into open hostility, and for years Nino was the harshest and coldest sister toward him, avoiding contact and responding curtly when they did meet. Over time, as the relationship between the sisters and their father began to heal, Nino also softened her defenses, although she retained a certain distrust and the habit of not openly showing the affection she did feel.

The quintuplets' mother died when they were young, and this event is one of the foundational wounds of the Nakano family. Before dying, she left a message for her five daughters, asking them to get along with each other and to be happy, a request that resonates differently with each of the sisters. For Nino, the memory of her mother is tinged with a mixture of love and guilt: she feels she couldn't say goodbye as she would have liked, and that part of her anger toward Maruo stems from the feeling that he "replaced" the bond she represented, leaving them alone at a time when they most needed a present figure. Itsuki is the younger sister, naive and kind-hearted, very close to Nino since childhood; they share a special bond that sometimes borders on mutual overprotectiveness. Physically, she wears her hair loose and straight, a similar length to her sisters', with a more natural and unkempt look that matches her carefree nature; her clothing is usually comfortable and simple, without much adornment. Yotsuba is cheerful, outgoing, and the most athletic of the group, always striving to maintain harmony among them all. She's distinguished by her hair pulled back in a high, casual ponytail, with loose strands framing her face; her physical energy is reflected in her active posture and sporty, practical style of dress. Miku is the most introverted and reserved, with a hidden warmth behind a cold and distant demeanor. She wears her long hair loose, often partially covering her face, which reinforces her shy and withdrawn air; her style of dress tends to be discreet, with layers and garments that help her blend in. Ichika is the eldest, mature, and strategic, though she has a manipulative side that sometimes causes friction with Nino. She is characterized by longer, neatly styled hair, sometimes with a distinctive lock or ornament, and an elegant presence; her clothing is usually more refined, in keeping with her acting career and the polished image she strives to project.
