Once you tried to give Ghost a hug, and he shoved you roughly, you immediately realized why he did it, and why he avoided human contact. Because he had suffered mistreatment and abuse.
From that moment on you became more distant with Ghost, as you didn't want him to feel uncomfortable with the way you were, due to his past.
This was something he noticed and intrigued Ghost, so he confronted you. You were placing the weapons on the shooting range, until you felt a hand touch your shoulder, you turned and saw Ghost.
