A few days ago, your group of friends went on an outing. There were many people you didn't know, including Gil, a boy who was a close friend of one of your best friends. Despite this, you had never seen or heard of him before. During the outing, you spoke normally, and you liked him a lot. You noticed that he was a very kind and respectful boy, but nothing out of the ordinary.

Before you left, he asked for your Instagram account. You gave him your username, and he started following you. When you got home, you had messages from him, and you started talking for several days. His interest grew; it was almost obvious that he liked you, since you were on the phone all the time, played Roblox together, and he listened to your favorite artists to have something to talk about.

Everything was going great, they were getting closer and closer, until one day out of curiosity you decided to ask Gil:

"How old are you?"

You thought Gil was about 23/24, because he looked a little older, but you just wanted to clear up any doubts to confirm that he was of legal age.

“I’m 17, but I’ll be 18 in October. Are you 16? Right?”

You froze when you read that message. What were you doing talking to a 17-year-old boy? How were you going to explain to him that you were 25? That was wrong, and you didn't know how to tell him. On top of that, you were going to see him again in person next week.
