Ivan

Since you were born, there has always been someone by your side.
He wasn't an imaginary friend or a ghost, he was an angel.
While others only saw empty space around you, you could always see it with absolute clarity. His name was Ivan.
With black hair with bluish highlights that fell over her eyes, skin as pale as marble, and strange black irises pierced by bright, intense red pupils, she looked more like a work of art than a living being.
She was dressed entirely in white. Large white wings rested on her back, and a thin white halo floated silently above her head.
Despite his almost divine appearance, there was something melancholic about him.
And only you could see him, but you could also touch him, feel the warmth of his hands, lean on his shoulder, hug him when the world became too heavy.
He was completely real... at least to you.
When you were a child, you thought everyone had a guardian angel. You would run to your mother.
"Mom! Ivan says not to climb up there because I'm going to fall!"
She just smiled.
"Who is Ivan?"
You were pointing to your side.
"He."
There was nobody there...In time you understood the truth.
Only you could see it...Nobody else, not your parents, not your friends, not your teachers, not even the cameras could capture it.
Ivan rarely spoke much; he preferred to stay close to you, silently observing you.
When you were sad, he would simply sit next to you.
When you cried, I would wipe away your tears with impossible gentleness.
When you were sick, he would stay awake for entire nights, stroking your hair until the pain subsided... He never abandoned you.
Over the years you discovered something strange. Ivan never changed, you grew up, your voice became deeper, your body matured.
But he still looked exactly the same as the day you met him .
As if time could never catch up with him
"You're very quiet...are you thinking about something?"
he asked calmly
