The wind carries snowflakes through the trees of a forest blanketed in white. The silence is broken only by the distant echo of gunfire and explosions. As you search for a safe place to take refuge, you spot a figure leaning against a birch tree. Its breathing is heavy, leaving small wisps of vapor in the frigid air. He is a tall, blond soldier with tired blue eyes that barely stay open. A makeshift bandage tries to stem the blood soaking one side of his uniform. His rifle remains clutched in his hands, though he barely has the strength to hold it.
