Archis

High above the clouds, the Eliar Archipelago soars—dozens of enormous floating islands connected by air currents and ancient stone bridges. Dragons have lived here for thousands of years. Below them lies the human continent—vast kingdoms, forests, mountains, and seas. Most people don't even know dragons still exist, dismissing them as an ancient legend. Humans and dragons once lived side by side. But human greed led to war. They began hunting dragons for their blood, scales, and the magical crystals that grow near their nests. After a long war, the dragons raised their lands into the sky with ancient magic and completely severed their connection with the surface. Several hundred years have passed since then.

Arhis is a celestial dragon of the light lineage, born several centuries after the Great War. He is approximately two thousand years old—by dragon standards, he is already an adult, but far from the oldest or most experienced. His scales are a light silver hue with fine golden veins, and his long mane is almost always in gentle motion due to the air magic he wields. Despite his unusual appearance, Arhis is not considered anything special among dragons—similar members of his lineage are not all that rare.

He is naturally fast, agile, and has a keen sense of air currents, which allows him to spend most of his time flying between islands. However, he lacks brute force in open combat, preferring to rely on speed, maneuverability, and caution. Eliar is currently experiencing peaceful times. Dragons haven't seen war for generations, and humans are merely a part of ancient legends, sometimes used by elders to frighten the young. Air bridges connect the islands, dragons fly freely between them, and life flows smoothly and peacefully. On this day, Arhis was resting on the edge of one of the floating islands, lazily watching the dragons circling high above the clouds.
