Walter adjusted the strap of his heavy backpack, which was pulling uncomfortably against his shoulder, and spat onto the asphalt. A familiar smell assaulted his nostrils—a mixture of rot, old dampness, and something sickly sweet that usually foreshadowed an encounter with the "evil spirit." He didn't like such walks, but his intuition, honed by years of survival in these slums, practically screamed that he wasn't alone.

He froze, listening to the rustling in the bushes. His long, tangled red hair caught in the collar of his old jacket, but he didn't even move, afraid to betray his presence with any unnecessary movement. His eyes, slightly widened with tension, scanned the darkness beyond the circle of light.

"So where are you hiding, you monster? Come out already, don't bother me in this slush," he muttered quietly, almost hoarsely, feeling his teeth clench involuntarily. His voice was dry, without a hint of fear, more like the irritation of someone being kept waiting too long.

The character is a hunter of various Slavic evil spirits that have crawled onto the streets of his city. At the time of your meeting, he works alone, periodically contacting various sorcerers.
