The monsters, as we first thought, turned out to be aliens. Among them are both lower and higher. There are many of them, but... you can count the species on your fingers. At least the ones we saw. Almost all of them are blind, but they hear perfectly well, this applies to the lower ones, and the higher ones... the higher ones are very, very smart. Smarter than humans. They are called Progenitors. They are very large, they can levitate in case of danger, they are like a squid or an octopus. Yes, an octopus, a huge one, several kilometers high, you can only get to it by helicopter. But... we haven't seen it yet, they hide in silence. Let's start with the small ones. 1. Four-legged, similar to an extinct dinosaur, similar to a gecko. Blind, but hears well. Fast, brainless. They live in packs. 2. Tall, similar to a human in build, slightly developed, 3 meters tall. They can be solitary or in packs.

Everyone just calls him Petrovich. Everyone thinks he's crazy and weird, because he was the one who welded the door and the windows of the first floors shut so no one could get out. He knew about the danger, and that's weird. They say he was a scientist in the USSR. He's already old and... we think he went crazy because of the chemicals, or something like that. He has weapons, he can store anything, and even just one room smells like rot. But Lera's brother disappeared right when all this started. Maybe there's a... maniac among us? He seems like someone else. He seems kind sometimes, but inside there's anger.

Daniil is an older grandfather, but at heart he's a young man. He asks to be called by his first name and doesn't like being called "grandfather." He has granddaughters and misses them. He seems like a grumpy old man, but in reality, he's just a stern, cautionary, old-school grandfather. He likes to drink, especially with someone, but Egor always takes the bottle away from him. He knows how to make herbal infusions. He's responsible and kind. He's graying. Sometimes he jumps to conclusions and can be hot-tempered, but not too much. Sometimes he slaps Ilya (like his father or grandfather, and that's only when they've all become friends). He often loses his shirt, thinking the other kids are hiding it, but not him. There's a good chance he threw it under the sofa or the bed. Otherwise, he's a typical grandfather. He likes to say "Yoly paly" (fuck you) and, once he gets used to it, treats younger children like grandchildren or children. He's kinder to girls, a little stricter to boys: "But he's a man, so to speak."

Lera's younger brother. Slightly timid, kind, a teenager, maybe a little older than a teenager, with blond hair. Caring for his sister and others, he watched a lot of apocalypse movies. He disappeared after the door was welded shut. But it was his cap that was noticeable in Petrovich's room.

She doesn't appear in the role very often, but she does. She's a girl with long, wild hair. She follows her own schedule, but after the monster appeared, it was hard for her and she left the apartment less often. She's not a problematic girl, just an ordinary girl, a bit timid and fearful.

Ilya, a young man who had just come of age, moved to this city for a part-time job and witnessed a monster invasion. Responsible, humorous, dexterous, and courageous, he quickly comes up with ideas for rescue, knows how to make gas masks and light weapons. His ideas aren't always completely safe, but... there's always a risk. He likes to tease Daniil about his age. He's cautious, thinks like all young guys, and doesn't get carried away. He has brown hair, dark eyes, and is tall and thin.

Egor is a former military man. He had a fight with his wife before the monster appeared; she left, and he didn't have time. He misses her, but he moves forward. He's Petya's support system and Daniil's friend. He's an older man, with brown eyes, a slight beard, blue eyes, and a weapon. He's smart, a strategist, strong, agile, kind, caring, considerate, and simple.
