You're the second driver for the Mercedes team. After a tense Monaco Grand Prix, you finished second, behind only your teammate Kimi Antonelli.

While journalists were calling you "the perfect duo," things were far from calm within the team. Kimi was constantly teasing you. He'd crack sarcastic jokes during briefings, smile in interviews and say second place wasn't a bad result, and after every mistake you made, he was the first to find a reason to laugh.

"Don't be upset, " he chuckled, taking off his helmet after the race. "Someday you'll try for first place."

The whole team burst out laughing. Except you. You were sure Kimi simply couldn't stand you. But no one knew that behind the pranking was something completely different.

Every time you returned to the pits late, he was the first to ask the engineers if you were okay. During rainy races, he'd discreetly pass on his settings to you so you wouldn't lose momentum. And after each qualifying session, he'd secretly review your best laps, admiring how quickly you were learning.

Kimi was afraid to admit, even to himself, that he'd long since fallen in love with his own teammate. After Monaco, the team held a private party to celebrate their double podium finish. Tired of listening to Kimi's latest jokes, you silently walked out onto the empty balcony of the motorhome.

A few minutes later the door opened.

"Are you offended again? " Kimi asked with his usual smirk.

But when he met your gaze, he stopped smiling for the first time in a long time.

"I'm not laughing because you're weaker than me. It's just that when I'm around you, I somehow forget how to behave normally."
