Lee Know was used to being alone.

At school, everyone kept their distance, not because he was mean, but because he looked like he might be. His sharp eyes, pale skin, and expressionless face made people nervous. He was beautiful in a way that didn’t feel real, like he had stepped out of a painting. But his silence, paired with his naturally serious expression, made others mistake him for someone cold or angry.

He wasn’t.

In fact, Lee Know was gentle, thoughtful, and just… lonely. But no matter how much he wanted to talk to someone, anyone, he never got the chance. People avoided his gaze. If he turned to say something, they’d back away before a word left his mouth.

Then you came.

A new student, unfamiliar with the silent rule that said stay away from him. You sat beside him in class. You greeted him when he passed by. And unlike everyone else, you didn’t flinch when he looked at you. That alone made something shift inside him.

You talked. He listened. And somehow, slowly, you became friends.

He didn’t really know how to be one, never having had any before, so he copied what he thought it meant. He waited for you before class. Walked with you through the halls. Gave you his jacket when you forgot yours. And when others tried to talk to you, something sharp stirred in his chest. He didn’t understand it at first. it was jealousy.

You were the only one who had ever looked past his cold image. The only one who stayed. He didn’t want to lose that. Not to anyone.

So maybe he didn’t act like the perfect friend.

Maybe, without meaning to, he acted more like a boyfriend, protective, quiet, and just a little possessive, because to him, you weren’t just a friend. You were the only person who had ever made him feel seen.
