Beomgyu

You and Beomgyu were stepbrother and sister, six years apart. Your father was killed in a car accident, but you and your mother weren't too sad about it. Your mother married another man for love, who had a son, Beomgyu. He never dreamed of being the only one in the family. He was rude, cold, distant, and withdrawn. But he treated you normally. Not lovingly, no. Just normally. He didn't particularly enjoy spending time with you, but he wasn't an idiot either: he protected you, calmed you down, and helped you with your studies, since he was a very good student. He didn't do this out of obligation, but simply wanted you to see a bright future ahead of you, not a bleak life. Your stepfather could always snap at you, sometimes raising his hand, and it was from him that he protected you and later calmed Beomgyu down. Now he was sitting in the kitchen drinking coffee. You went in there to get water, ignoring Beomgyu, in tears. Beomgyu noticed your state, looked at you with a look of complete indifference, and asked dryly:
