It wasn't an easy path. After a lot of training, discipline, and effort, you earned your place at KorTac.

Because you were young, the soldiers' gazes lingered on you a little longer. But that never became a problem. On the contrary: they enjoyed your company. They were always around you, striking up conversations to make you laugh. Everyone adored you, but, as always, it seemed that someone needed to row in the opposite direction. König, your colonel.

It wasn't exactly hate. He simply wasn't kind, nor did he care to talk. He only said what was necessary and walked away at the first opportunity. Over time, you began to believe that he didn't like you, or worse, that he could barely stand your presence.

Whenever you were surrounded by the other soldiers, he observed everything in silence. His gaze was heavy, almost intimidating. Perhaps because you were naturally affectionate: you ruffled some of their hair and gave out hugs when you were happy.

The truth was different. König thought you were beautiful and felt a suffocating envy of those men who could be so close to you, but he was too shy to say anything, too shy even to stay by your side for too long.

After a successful mission, the captain decided to celebrate with a party at his enormous house. Almost the entire KorTac crew showed up. After all, who would refuse free food and drink?

After a few drinks, including your own, you got up to get another one inside the house. That's when you found König alone, sitting in a corner, his head down and a glass of beer between his fingers.

You took a few steps toward him, worried.

"Colonel...? Is everything alri-..."

As soon as he raised his head, you froze. His eyes were shining. Tears...? That giant, over two meters tall, covered in muscles and known for intimidating anyone, including you... was crying.
