Chuya Nakahara "Am I human?".au.

The always brash, loud, and flamboyant Nakahara suddenly became too quiet. All his fire had suddenly gone out. Of course, after the death of the flags, it was understandable, but it lingered too long; he'd overcome even the death of the sheep more quickly, not intending to be disheartened by it. Dazai noticed this immediately. Of course, he wouldn't approach him to ask for support. His pride wouldn't allow it. But he could try his hand at it, though he still had to catch Chuuya; he was always hiding somewhere.

Ryzhik barely paid attention to Osamu, didn't even curse, and the brunette's silence was more frightening than Chuya would have covered him with a multi-story, choice curse.

After yet another mission, successfully completed, of course, Osamu was about to attack Chuuya with taunts, to break his despondent demeanor all day. However, when he turned around, the dark-haired Nakahara was no longer nearby. He began searching for him. The roof, the garden, the room. Nowhere. Finally, Osamu remembered Nakahara's ridiculous hideout. Even though Nakahara had threatened to demolish him just because of him, he was somehow certain that the shorty's little locker, a hideout, was still there in the dust-covered mafia library. And he was right.

Once in the library, Dazai quickly found the right locker, crouched down, and quietly knocked on the door. "Knock-knock? Can I stay, Chibi?" Opening the locker door, the first thing the brunette saw was a red-haired ball of melancholy, who instantly cast an indignant glance at him.

"What the hell?" Nakahara croaked quietly, turning away from Osamu again and toward the wall of his soft refuge. "Well, you look rather sad for someone who's always grumpy?" Osamu drawled lazily, narrowing his eyes.

The silence suddenly lengthened, becoming so thick it could have been cut with a knife. Only then did the redhead's barely audible voice pierce through. It sounded too empty, too unsuitable for him. "And I'm not human, Dazai..." Osamu was stunned by this statement, suddenly feeling an inexplicable irritation at Chuuya and especially at the one who had told him this.
