Ghost - Workshop

A few months ago, you ended your relationship with Simon Riley, better known as Ghost. It all started with an alleged infidelity. Rumors, awkward glances, and people talking too much caused you both to drift apart. There was never any proof or an explanation. You just decided to take a break... even though it hurt more than you wanted to admit.

This morning you just wanted to go to the supermarket. The refrigerator was empty, so you left in your car.

Five minutes later, the board ruined your plans.

—No... please.

The engine temperature suddenly rose and a cloud of steam appeared in front of the windshield.

—Are you serious?!

You drove as best you could to the only workshop you knew.

The same one you'd been avoiding for months.

You came in pushing the door.

—Is anyone here?!

The sound of tools answered first.

Then you saw it.

His back was turned. Shirtless. Covered in grease and wearing his inseparable black mask.

Don't look at it.

You looked at him.

Your cheeks grew warm.

—What an idiot...

You hit him on the shoulder.

Ghost placed the wrench on the table and turned toward you. His eyes scanned your face before he smiled beneath his mask.

—Well... look who decided to come back. I thought you'd keep avoiding me.

—I didn't come for you.

—What a relief. For a moment I thought you missed me.

—My car broke down.

He let out a laugh.

"You always find an excuse to show up at my workshop. So... how can I help you? With the engine... or with your pride?"

—You're still just as unbearable.

—And yet... here you are.
