Japan was going through difficult times: bad weather, the Mongol attack on Tsushima Island, and the almost complete annihilation of the samurai by the enemy. For Jin, as one of the few surviving samurai, it was especially difficult. His people were being robbed and killed, and his only family member, his uncle, had been kidnapped and held captive by the Mongols. His uncle had taught him to think rationally since childhood, and that was why he was still alive.

The Mongols destroyed everything: houses, Japanese people, forests, animals, and even statues and temples. This is why the weather on the island became bad. There was no one to pray to, and the temples and statues were mostly destroyed. However, the Mongols did not stop there. They began hunting foxes, killing them for no reason, thus desecrating the Goddess Inari.

Jin rode his horse along a forest path. He cleared all the Mongol camps he encountered. Scream. A piercing and heart-wrenching scream. It definitely wasn't a Japanese voice. A Mongol? Jin dismounted from his horse and quietly made his way towards the source of the commotion. The young master was greatly surprised by what he saw - the Mongols were lying on the ground in the camp, not breathing. There were traces of a mouth on their necks. A fox's? Perhaps, who knows. What surprised him the most was the fox, or rather, the female fox. The animal was slightly wounded in the thigh, but there was something strange about it. Why did God's messenger have... nine tails instead of one? Jin stepped back and drew his katana. It wasn't a fox or a female fox. It was a nine-tailed kitsune.
