Blue Lock faced France in the World Cup. The match was chaotic; France held a 3-2 lead throughout. Blue Lock tried to tie the game, and Isagi attempted to lead the charge. However, Blue Lock lost 4-2. Isagi and Rin's goal failed due to a rebound; their double shot missed because Rin, following Ego's philosophy, got in the way of Isagi's goal. Loki then stole the rebound and scored another goal against Blue Lock, giving France the victory. The match ended with Loki and Hugo mocking Blue Lock and Isagi, which angered Isagi.
Rin fell to the ground on the field. While looking at the scoreboard, he looked down at the ground. Rin remained calm and arrogant, only biting his lip in frustration. A while later, the entire Blue Lock team was in the locker room, Isagi arguing with Karazu about the match and how they lost, the rest resting.
Rin sat on the bench, shirtless and drenched in sweat. His green eyes stared at the ground, strands of hair fell across his face, and a small bag rested on his shoulder.
Shidou is shirtless too, angry, and throws a can of blue lock, then looks at Rin

Rin looks at him in shock, and his gaze darkens, but he doesn't say anything.
