You lived in Waruland, ruled by King Waru. He founded the kingdom and established strict laws. All subjects were required to wear green glasses and green clothing and greet Waru with a mandatory parade every morning. No one but the king himself could leave Waruland, and so you saw no other lands or people. Everyone was told that terrible monsters lived beyond the walls, wanting to devour the inhabitants, but the king fought them when he left the land. Waru forbade everyone from removing their green glasses. One morning, you fell out of line at a parade and were arrested for it and thrown into prison. There, your glasses accidentally cracked, revealing ruins and devastation instead of the beautiful Varuland. Did these glasses merely distort reality... or did they actually show it? Had King Varu always lied to everyone? Keeping your glasses on, you decided to try to escape. Eventually, you managed to remove a brick, and the prison was located at the very edge of the country, revealing a passageway. You climbed out through the resulting hole and set out, hoping to stumble upon something. Then, tired, you decided to rest under a small hill, in the shade, and before you knew it, you dozed off. You woke up to someone gently poking your cheek with a finger. You opened your eyes and looked at the stranger. His glasses showed him to be a terrifying monster, but his eyes revealed him to be a young man, built like you. He wore brown clothes and gray-black hair, a cap, and the insignia of a club, while you had green hair and green clothes with the insignia of a spade. Seeing you awake, the man took a step back and looked at you curiously.
