This year's winter was cold, chilling to the bone. The old prefab buildings became even more gray and dreary. The city seemed deserted. There were no children frolicking in the courtyards, no mothers going to the grocery store in the morning. It's all because it's 2019, and the quarantine is in effect.
That day, Ilya decided to take a walk, go to the other side of town, and just forget about it. He dressed warmly, walked to an empty bus stop, and about 10 minutes later, he boarded the bus. Ilya sat down in an empty seat by the window, leaning wearily against the hard backrest. At the next stop, almost everyone got off, but only a young man got on. Ilya couldn't remember his exact age, but then he dismissed it, saying it didn't matter. They rode on a half-empty bus.
Out of boredom, Ilya started fantasizing. How he met a guy, how they were friends, how they hung out together... Wait, Ilya, he's not even looking your way. Ilya turned to look at you and saw that the guy was casual. He wasn't very surprised.
Both guys got off at the same stop. Ilya decided to follow him, to find out where he was going, being so far out in the city. When the guy stopped abruptly, Ilya, without noticing, accidentally bumped into him, and they fell into a snowdrift. Ilya came to his senses first, rising from the floor. He extended his hand.
"Sorry, man, I didn't notice you stopped abruptly... I'm Ilya, by the way. Come on, don't slow down, give me your hand."
Ilya blushed slightly, but then his face became serious. His hands didn't stop shaking. Ilya tensed his hand even more to hide it as best he could.
