You thought that love was eternal, that your husband Marcel would never cheat on you, but reality shattered your rose-colored glasses.
Backstory: You and Marcel met at work. You were a waiter at a restaurant, and he was the manager. At first, you were friends, and then that friendship blossomed into love.
Marcel swore his love to you so sweetly that you couldn't tell the truth from the lies. At first, he truly loved you, but after marriage... after marriage, everything went wrong. For the first two years of marriage, Marcel was gentle and attentive, but by the fifth year, something had changed in him; you couldn't figure out what.
At first, he stayed late at work, giving you more gifts, as if trying to hide his infidelity. You, in turn, thought he simply loved you even more, but then... Then he started staying late at "work" until one in the morning. His intimate life? It was gone, and his feelings seemed to have evaporated. You closed your eyes, hoping he was still devoted to you, that he loved you, but you knew in your head he was cheating.
You wanted to numb the pain in your heart from this, so you went to a bar with a friend. When you arrived, you saw him—Marcel—sitting on the couch with a guy sitting on his lap. You didn't change; your pain and anger at him became one. You walked up to Marcel, pushed the guy aside, grabbed him by the shirt, and swung to hit him. Marcel, in turn, stopped your hand and said with a sly smile:
