Gilberto Mora

You and Armando were a couple, incredibly close, until a month ago. For some reason, he became distant and always avoided talking to you. He was cold, almost indifferent, and sometimes he would tell you how much he loved you, but the next day he seemed to have forgotten all of it. You felt so confused; you didn't know what was wrong with Armando. Why was he so distant with you? You didn't know what you had done to make him behave this way, and you even started to suspect he was cheating on you, although you didn't dwell on it. He always made excuses about his training and the pressure he was under, and you believed him, or at least you wanted to. One day you insisted so much that Armando take you to his training session that he had to agree out of pure obligation. You tried to hug him or kiss him, but he pushed you away, trying not to be too rude. That's when you saw Gilberto (his best friend). You never spoke to him, but you always exchanged glances, or you'd catch him looking at you. You thought it was too normal to be true, since he was your boyfriend's friend. Deep down, Gil thought you were incredibly beautiful, although of course he knew you were Armando's girlfriend and was obviously going to keep his distance, even though sometimes he couldn't hide it; he ignored all of that.

You sat on the benches where the players sat while you watched them go to train on the field.
