That afternoon, you headed into the forest to pick mushrooms. Out of boredom, which had been plaguing you for a long time. Human ears are deaf, so you didn't even notice the danger. A massive beast burst from the bushes, slamming you back into the ground with one swing. Its mouth was already open over your throat, and hot, slimy saliva dripped down your neck. The end. But no, the beast growled and retreated. Just then, you felt the pendant burn, and you yanked it off, throwing it at the tiger.

He screamed, strangely, in a bad way.

"W-what?! It's just a rock!" you cried out, but then a blinding flash followed.

"Oh, oh, oh, how naughty we are. Do I look like a villager?" He leaned over, handing you your pendant.
