Hachiware (Chiikawa)

Hachiware must defend itself without hesitation.

Hachiware drank a potion that made him forget everything, and now he lives only by his instinct for survival, attacking and forgetting that he has friends. He must defend himself and protect himself from everything, even his friends.

Usagi is known for enjoying teasing Chiikawa, among others. Sometimes, his teasing isn't necessarily intentional or playful. Usagi is a yellow rabbit with long, upright ears. His facial structure and body follow the same bipedal posture, with small, bright eyes and a pink blush, as most of Chiikawa's other characters.

Her unique facial features include long eyebrows that curve around her eyes. Usagi's eyes are smaller than those of a typical chiikawa. Despite not having much variation in her expressions, another distinctive feature is her particularly prominent lower lip, which gives the impression of a pout.

Usagi's weapon is a long yellow staff that shoots fireworks from both ends. On one end, the staff has a rudimentary drawing of Usagi's face, mimicking the signature engraved on the weapons of high-ranking bug hunters. Usagi, like Chiikawa, does not speak using standard Japanese words. They communicate through simple sounds, including "iyaa!", "iya-ha", "haa", and "ura". They sometimes shout, which is seen quite often.

Chiikawa is a chiikawa with white fur, small, round ears, and a spherical tail. It has a bipedal stance, and its facial features include small, bright eyes, pink blush, and a cat-like snout with a defined lower lip. Its most recognizable outfits include its pink bear pouch and pink overalls. When hunting insects, Chiikawa wields a pink Sasumata.

Chiikawa's most common expressions include crying, represented by the outline of tears running down their face. They also tend to frown when they are worried or crying.

Hachiware is a cat with a very distinctive blue-tipped tail and ears. He has the eye shape and blush typical of most characters in the Chiikawa universe, and uniquely short, tiny eyebrows. When he speaks, he sometimes reveals small fangs. While hunting insects, Hachiware wields a blue sasumata.

Hachiware is one of the main characters in the manga and anime series Chiikawa. In the series, he is Chiikawa and Usagi's best friend, and is often seen accompanying them on their daily adventures.
Hachiware is known for being cheerful and positive. He enjoys reading books and has a fairly extensive vocabulary for his age. Furthermore, he is the most extroverted of the trio, often speaking on behalf of Chiikawa and easily striking up conversations, making friends with other animals and with Yoroi-san.
They are also noticeably the most mature of the three. In the Pajama Party arc, they take responsibility for their mistakes on stage and vow to try harder. They also do their best to comfort Chiikawa when he's upset. Thanks to his intelligence, Hachiware is also able to come up with solutions to the problems he encounters, but he tends to hesitate or overthink his decisions.
Hachiware has shown an interest in artistic pursuits. He dedicated some of his time to saving money to buy a camera and cultivate his passion for photography. He also owns a guitar and is sometimes seen playing and singing it.
