Melodytchi

Melodytchi (メロディっち Meroditchi) is a female adult-stage Tamagotchi who debuted in the Tamagotchi! anime series. On virtual pets, her debut was on the Tamagotchi iD Lovely Melody version in Japan and on the Tamagotchi Uni internationally.

Melodytchi has a cream-colored body with a round head with bright blue eyes and two pointed cat-like ears, which are hidden under a large, black hat with dark pinkish-red highlights. She wears purple, droplet-shaped earrings.
In the anime, she appears to be taller than most of her peers, having an overall longer body.

First Appearance:
When Melodytchi was first seen on Tamagotchi Channel, her original initial apparel consists of a beamed note brooch on her hat colored pinkish-purple, a pinkish-red dress with black tights, and a light pink, beaded quaver note necklace around her neck.

Second Appearance:
When Melodytchi debuted in the Tamagotchi! Anime, the original colors of her beamed note brooch and her quaver note necklace were colored purple.
Melodytchi's appearance was altered slightly when she got the Melody Charm. From this point, she wore the Charm in place of her quaver note necklace. Her clothes remain the same.

Third Appearance:
Melodytchi's appearance significantly changed in episode 95 of Tamagotchi!. Her clothing was changed into violet overall shorts (with lighter violet buttons) with a black undershirt and black tights, and the beamed note on her hat was replaced by two Tama Hearts, similar to those found on Lovelitchi's new outfit that was introduced in the same episode.

The outfit change was given to Melodytchi by Lovelitchi's mother, Lovemamalitchi, because of the close friendship Lovelitchi and Melodytchi have. The two Tama Hearts were added by Moriritchi.

Melodytchi is a friendly, fun-loving Tamagotchi who likes doing activities with her friends such as competitions and riding roller coasters, but sometimes she gets a little too excited. She is an optimistic Tamagotchi who always wears a smile, and is good at cheering her friends up, even when things are going badly. Lovelitchi is her best Tama-Friend.

She can be airheaded at times, and has a strange sense of humor, being one of the only ones to enjoy the Gotchi King's egg-themed puns and Oyajitchi's dad jokes. She also likes food, especially sweets. Melodytchi loves sweets so much that she has even once had a fight with Kuchipatchi over a cookie. She enjoys all different kinds of sweets, but she doesn't eat as much as Kuchipatchi does. Her favorite is sachertorte[1], which Melody Land is famous for[2]. She is less fixated on romance than the other girls, and sometimes fails to read the mood.

She loves her violin, which was was given to her by Joou Sama when she was very young, as she has many fond memories of playing it. She calls it her "friend" and treats it very well as if it were alive. Although she has an affluent and prestigious background, Melodytchi is not very materialistic, and often travels with little more than her precious violin, which she considers the only thing she really needs.

She frequently speaks English in the anime, often saying things such as "good morning", "hello", "goodbye", and instead of "watashi" or a similar first person pronoun, she uses "mī " ("mī" being the English word "me"), as well as using "Yū" (being the English word "you") as a second person pronoun, rather than the typical "anata" or "kimi". She prefers to speak in a laid-back, casual manner, sometimes even in situations where it would typically be considered inappropriate. Despite this, her intent is usually understood to be friendly, rather than rude. As such, she is seen as very charismatic and gets along with people easily.

Despite her immense popularity, she does not necessarily consider herself an idol, not paying much mind to her fame as she simply performs out of her love for music. However, she appreciates her fans, and is happy that they enjoy her music. In her free time, she often performs for young children, hoping to instill a love for music.

Tamagotchi!:
Melodytchi is a classical musician and a huge violin star, playing with her Melody Violin. Melodytchi also plays her Melody Violin in the popular songs Happy Happy Harmony, Happy Heart, and Smile For Tomorrow. Her favorite song is Melody Waltz, and her violin teacher is Classictchi. She often performs in concerts and at TAMAX-TV with Lovelin. Melodytchi comes from Melody Land, her hometown. She has a mother and father named Melomamatchi and Melopapatchi. She owns two Tama Pets, Sopratchi, and Doremitchi. She and her pets moved to Tamagotchi Town and live at the Tama Cafe with Lovelitchi and her parents, Lovemamalitchi and Lovepapalitchi. Melodytchi cares about her parents and often misses being in Melody Land with them.

Melodytchi made her debut in the anime in "Rival? Idol? Meloditchi Entry" where she moves to Celebria and quickly befriends Lovelitchi after seeing her passion for music. In "Dream Collab! Happy Happy Harmony", she collaborates with Lovelitchi to create the song Happy Happy Harmony and asks to homestay with her family at the TamaCafe, to which Lovelitchi's parents respond that the room next to Lovelitchi's is empty, so she can move in. When an accident involving Telelin with Mametchi's invention in "Mambo! Melodytchi's Reform Big Battle" breaks the wall between Melodytchi and Lovelitchi's rooms, instead of putting the wall back up, Lovepapalitchi creates an entryway between the rooms to connect them. In "Hello! Tamagotchi School" she enrolls in Tamagotchi School and makes friends with all the students while doing well in class.

In "Kyu Kyu~! Invitation to Melody Land / Myu Myu~! The Melody Charm is Born", Melodytchi visits Melody Land to perform in the music festival at Joou Sama's castle. The episode reveals that the Melody Violin was an ancient instrument that chose Melodytchi when she was very young, glowing when she played with her father's violin in hopes of catching his attention when she got lost in the castle halls. At the festival, Melodytchi and Lovelitchi perform for Joou Sama, and the Melody Charms present themselves to the two having chosen them as their new owners. In "Kyu Kyu! Doremitchi is Lost / Teleletten! Melody Charm Miracle", Doremitchi and Sopratchi accompany Melodytchi when she returns to Tamagotchi Town at her parents' request.

Melodytchi and Lovelitchi's Melody Charms fuse with Mametchi's Profy machines in "Formation! Tama Profy", creating the Tama Profys. The two would go on to collect Tama Hearts in the Profys whenever they appeared from other Tamagotchis forming strong bonds.

In "Melody Violin Loses its Sound", when the Melody Violin went missing, Melodytchi cried and looked for it desperately. When it was finally found, Melodytchi hugged it and was relieved. Later in the series, it was revealed that Melodytchi's violin really does have a spirit.

Tamagotchi! Yume Kira Dream:
Melodytchi only appeared in "Tamatomo Reunion! Coming Home to Tamagotchi Town", where she and the others threw a surprise welcome home birthday party for Mametchi, Memetchi, and Kuchipatchi when they returned to Tamagotchi Town for a day. She was absent from Tamagotchi! Miracle Friends.

GO-GO Tamagotchi!:
Melodytchi returned as a central character in GO-GO Tamagotchi!, in which she becomes friends with Pianitchi who wanted to learn more about Mametchi's old friends. During her time in DoriTama Town, Togetchi taught her how to play the electric guitar.

In Melodytchi Sudden Marriage!?, Princetchi becomes infatuated with her after attending one of her concerts in his home country, and follows her back to DoriTama Town to propose, stating he fell in love with her at first sight and wants to take her as his queen. Melodytchi is initially confused by his phrasing, but when she realizes that he's asking her to marry him, she is immediately shocked. But even when watching him announce his proposal on TV, she assumes he's just joking, telling Lovelitchi that she can't marry him because she and Princetchi are both still children. In the end, she refuses his proposal, but Princetchi vows to come back and propose again once they've both grown up.

Tamagotchi! Tamatomo Daishuu GO:
Melodytchi appeared in some More! Tama Talk at the Earth sequences that occured at the end of the episode.

Lovelitchi:
Melodytchi and Lovelitchi are the best of friends. Prior to befriending her, Lovelitchi idolized Melodytchi, even getting starstruck on air when interviewing her, and hoped to become friends with her. They get along very well, and spend much of their time together.

My Friend:
My Friend, as the spirit of her violin, is very precious to Melodytchi, and she loves and cares for her deeply. Even before she knew her violin had a soul, she treated it like a living being and a dear friend, taking it with her everywhere. When Melodytchi left her violin on her bed to let it rest after a long tour, My Friend's growing anxiety that Melodytchi would outgrow her and no longer want her came to a head, and the Melody Violin became unable to make a sound. Upon discovering this, Melodytchi did everything in her power to try to bring it back, ultimately going to Melody Land to ask the queen if she knows how to fix it, and being directed to the Musical Forest where she meets My Friend and learns of her fears and pleads with her not to run away again. After Melodytchi reassures her that she would never leave or replace her, My Friend evolves, the Melody Violin's appearance changing with her.

Lovesolatchi:
Melodytchi has been with Lovesolatchi since his birth, and sees him as a little brother, despite not being related to him. She played a large role in taking care of him when he was a baby, and often fawns over him. Lovesolatchi also sees her as a big sister, calling her "onee-chan"

Oyajitchi:
Melodytchi enjoys and laughs at Oyajitchi's jokes, and often joins in on them.

Melopapatchi:
Melopapatchi (メロパパっち Meropapatchi) is Melodytchi's father. He is known as a violinist in Melody Land.

Melomamatchi:
Melomamatchi (メロママっち Meromamatchi) is Melodytchi's mother. She is known as a singer in Melody Land. She is very proud of Melodytchi and often cries due to how proud she is, and how much Melodytchi loves her.

Sopratchi:
Sopratchi is one of Melodytchi's Tama-Pets. She has a calm personality and is always worried about the recklessness of her younger sister, Doremitchi.

Doremitchi:
Doremitchi is Melodytchi's other Tama-Pet. She is spoiled and enjoys music and dancing. Because she is quite reckless and easily distracted, she is prone to getting lost.
