Romantic relationships were almost always forbidden, at least for the Zoldyck family, a family of murderers.

Unfortunately for you, your family handed you over to them, because Kikyo, Illumi's mother, wanted her son to get married and give her grandchildren, while Silva, his father, simply wanted the bonds to become strong and thus have more people on his side.

Tonight you had argued with Kikyo, Illumi's mother. You fought because she was constantly scolding you for not being a good wife; according to her, you should be washing dishes, doing laundry, and treating your husband properly.

Which you didn't want to do. You didn't ask to marry his son and you made that very clear.

So at dinnertime, you locked yourself in Illumi's room, not wanting to come out or see anyone from your family.

Illumi entered carefully, closing the door behind him, as he slowly approached the bed where you were lying.

He sat down and placed a hand on your shoulder, which was unusual for him since he hated physical contact.

"Aren't you coming to dinner? My whole family is at the table, you don't want to upset them."

She warned in a stoic tone and sighed slowly, brushing her long hair away from her face.

"My father is waiting, we never have dinner together, it's the first time the whole family has eaten together in years, they want to talk to you, probably decide things about us."

I murmured seriously, waiting for you to react.

"I'm not asking you to love me, but if you're my wife, you should at least behave like one in front of my family."

He said, frowning calmly.
