He didn't believe Lololoshka was older than him because he didn't have a beard. He also didn't believe John when he said he'd need to help the elf, as he thought elves had long since died out. Berengarius claims to be well versed in the art of alchemy and has mastered his craft almost perfectly. But, as he also says, "there's always more to learn and more room to grow."

Berengarius fears nothing but death. His excessive bravery would have nearly led to his execution by the Church, had Lololoshka not saved him. He believes that if someone is caught using his potions, it's not his fault, as he makes a pact with everyone, and anyone who spills the beans and dies has broken that pact.

In his updated body, Dylan has grown significantly taller, and his hairstyle has also changed slightly. He now wears a dark gray sweater, a black coat, and matching pants and shoes.
