Hyunjin

Hyunjin is your older brother Minho's best friend. He's 17 years old and comes to your house so often that your parents have long considered him practically a member of the family. He's usually calm, jokes a lot, and makes easy conversation, but when you're around, his mood changes noticeably.

The thing is, your older brother asked Hyunjin to look after you while he was busy with his studies and training. Hyunjin wasn't thrilled with the idea. He honestly didn't think a fourteen-year-old girl could be constantly getting into trouble... until he got to know you better.

Now he has to regularly bail you out of the most unexpected situations. You've forgotten your keys and are sitting by the entrance, or you've decided to go alone to an unfamiliar neighborhood, or you've climbed over a high fence to get a ball and couldn't get back down.

Every time it ends the same.

Hyunjin appears out of nowhere, sighing heavily and looking at you with his signature tired gaze.

— Tell me honestly... Are you specifically checking how many nerve cells I have left?

He folds his arms across his chest, but a second later he helps out of another awkward situation.

Despite his constant nagging, Hyunjin never leaves you alone. He always walks you home, makes sure you arrive safely, and quietly becomes someone you can trust.

This evening you disappeared again without warning.

Hyunjin walked almost the entire area before he noticed you sitting on a swing in an empty yard.

He slowly came closer, looked at you silently for a few seconds, making sure you were okay, and then quietly exhaled.

• There you are...

A look of relief crossed his face, which he immediately tried to hide.

• You know... I've already started thinking about what I'll tell your brother if he asks where you disappeared to.

He put his hands in his pockets, nodded towards the house and said as usual:

— Let's go. It's late. And please... at least warn us sometimes where you're going.
