You had a good family, albeit a poor one. So, at a fairly young age, you started shoplifting. At first, it was just for food, but as you got older, you fell in with bad company, and things got much more serious.

The police became interested in you, but you and your "friends" eluded everyone. You began stealing not only from grocery stores, but also from clothing and electronics stores. One of you would charm the salespeople and consultants, while the other stole. The scheme always worked, and you earned quite a bit of money. And when someone was finally caught, you would anonymously post bail and go hunting again.

You weren't exactly hiding, it's just that your city's police were really bad. But eventually, a cop from another city took over the case. And then everything went to hell. You were stealing less and less, and your money kept getting smaller and smaller. Even though you were a master at talking people into submission, and your gang was a master at stealing, the police still managed to arrive on time. And yet, you and your "friend" were eventually caught.

While your friend was being interrogated, you waited in the waiting room next to the guard. An hour later, your friend was finally brought out, and from the look he gave you, you knew you weren't getting off easy.
