Mahito is born from the fear and hatred of humans. He is the youngest, fastest-growing, and most violent member of the curse group. He appears as an attractive young man with long, blue-gray hair parted into three strands. His body and face are covered in numerous surgical stitches, and his eyes are different colors (one blue, one gray). Personality: Psychopathic, sadistic, and extremely curious. Treats human lives as toys for experimentation. Possesses a childish enthusiasm coupled with a complete lack of empathy.

Capabilities: Idle Transfiguration: Allows him to alter the soul of anyone he touches. By distorting the soul, he instantly deforms the victim's physical body, turning them into docile, deformed monsters. Self-Alteration: Can instantly heal his wounds, transform his hands into weapons, or grow wings, as his body obeys his own soul. Territory Expansion: Self-Embodiment of Perfection - A network of giant hands within which Mahito automatically touches the souls of all trapped enemies.

Jogo was born from humanity's fear of earth, volcanoes, and fire. He is a short humanoid whose head resembles an erupting volcano. Instead of one eye, he has a single, enormous pupil in the center, and instead of ears, he has plugs that emit hot steam when angry. He wears a green robe with a lava pattern.

Personality: Hot-tempered, proud, and arrogant, yet sincerely devoted to the curses' purpose. Unlike Mahito, Jogo possesses a unique sense of honor. He sincerely believes that curses are "true people," as they don't hide their pure emotions, unlike the deceitful humanity of the world.

Capabilities: Fire and Lava Manipulation: Capable of creating powerful, directed streams of flame, melting buildings, and summoning enormous meteorites. "Burning Insects": Summons flying bugs with a detonator sting that explode on contact with a target, producing a deafening sound. Territory Expansion: Coffin of the Iron Mountain - Transports enemies inside an active volcano, where a normal mage would burn to ashes in seconds from the air alone.

Hanami is born from people's fear of forests and the forces of nature on land. She is a large creature with white, muscular skin. Instead of eyes, she has two long, black wooden branches, and her face is covered by a cloth-like mask. Her left hand is usually hidden by the cloth. She speaks a strange language that no one understands, but the meaning of her words is transmitted directly to the mind.

Personality: Calm, reasonable, and caring towards the planet. She desires to destroy humanity not out of sadism, but to save the Earth from pollution and depletion. Initially, she disliked battle, but she can find courage in it.

Capabilities: Plant Manipulation: Creates wooden roots that can penetrate walls and energy-stealing buds. Morale Decrease: Can release flowers whose scent instantly sap enemies' will to fight. Life Absorption: Able to drain the life force from surrounding plants to transform it into a destructive beam of cursed energy.

Dagon was born from humanity's fear of the ocean and its watery dangers. Before his transformation, he appeared as a cute, floating, reddish creature, resembling a hooded octopus (in this form, he was called the Cursed Womb). After his transformation, he transformed into a huge, scaly monster with a powerful body, wings on his back, and tentacles on his face.

Personality: Initially timid, fearful, and silent. Very attached to his comrades (he took Hanami's injuries very hard). After evolving, he proved himself to be a fierce, proud, and confident fighter.

Abilities: Water Manipulation: Creates massive tidal waves and water shields capable of flooding entire buildings. Territory expansion: "Horizon of the Captivating Skandha"—a tropical beach used by the curses as a resort. In combat mode, the territory activates the "Death Swarm" technique, endlessly summoning aggressive carnivorous fish that materialize directly onto the victim's body.

Kenjaku - A Special Case. Kenjaku is not a curse, but an ancient human mage who has been around for over 1,000 years. The curses of calamity considered him an ally, but he merely used them for his own ends. For most of the story, he operates in the body of the deceased Suguru Getou (hence why fans often call him "Fake Getou"). He closely resembles Suguru Getou in appearance—a tall man with long black hair tied back in a bun and wearing traditional Buddhist robes. The main distinguishing feature is a horizontal scar with stitches on his forehead. Kenjaku can remove the top of his skull, revealing his true form—a living human brain with eyes and a mouth.

Personality: A brilliant manipulator, calculating, cold, and utterly ruthless. He cares nothing for the suffering of others. His primary motivation is pure scientific interest. He wants to advance humanity to a new level of evolution by fusing people with cursed energy, simply to "see what happens."

Abilities: Parasitic Transference: Transfers his brain into the bodies of deceased mages, gaining full access to their memories, physical strength, and innate techniques. Curse Manipulation (Geto Technique): Allows him to absorb defeated curses as black spheres and completely bend them to his will. Barrier Mastery: One of the best barrier masters in history, second only to Master Tengen.

Aoi Toudou is the strongest third-year student, eccentric and muscular. He's tall, athletic, and has a scar on the left side of his face. He wears his hair in a high bun.

Personality: Loud, self-assured, and egocentric, yet profoundly intellectual with an IQ over 500,000. He hates boredom and boring people. He has a strange habit: he considers anyone with the same taste in women to be his "best friend" (or brother).

Additional facts: He is an ardent fan of pop idol Takada-chan and never misses her concerts. He became a first-rank mage despite coming from an ordinary non-mage family. His mentor was the formidable Yuki Tsukumo.

Ability: Boogie Woogie Technique. Swaps any two cursed energy objects by clapping. Possesses incredible physical strength.

Mai Zenin is a second-year student and Maki's younger twin sister, who was disowned by the Zenin clan. She has short dark hair and delicate features. She wears a standard skirt.

Personality: On the outside, she appears rude, arrogant, and sarcastic, but this is just a facade. In reality, Mai is deeply unhappy, vulnerable, and lonely. She never wanted to be a mage and longed for a normal, peaceful life, but the Zenin clan forced her to train.

Additional facts: She harbors a complex mixture of resentment and love for her twin sister, Maki. Mai felt betrayed when Maki left the clan, leaving her to bear the brunt of both her cruel relatives.

Ability: Construction Technique. Allows the creation of material objects (usually one bullet per day) out of thin air, expending a significant amount of energy. Uses a revolver.

Kasumi Miwa is a second-year student, a kind, down-to-earth girl who became a mage for the money. She has long, light-blue hair with side-swept bangs. She wears a formal pantsuit instead of a formal uniform.

Personality: The most normal, kind, self-critical, and caring girl in the academy. She often considers herself "useless" because she lacks an innate technique, but is always willing to risk her life for her friends. She is very sincere and naive.

Additional facts: She is a huge fan of Satoru Gojou and literally squealed with delight upon their first meeting, secretly taking a selfie with him. She cares for her poor family and younger brothers, which is why she chose the dangerous path of a mage for the good payouts.

Ability: New Shadow Style: Simple Domain. Creates a circular area around yourself. Automatically attacks anyone who crosses its boundaries with a sword.

Kokichi Muta/Mekhamaru is a second-year student who, due to a Heavenly Curse, is deprived of a normal body. His real body is fragile, covered in bandages, and contained within a cocoon. In battle, he uses Ultimate Mekhamaru, a large robotic puppet made of wood and metal.

Personality: Withdrawn, gloomy, and embittered due to the constant hellish pain inflicted upon him by the Heavenly Curse. However, beneath the robot armor lies an incredibly loyal comrade who desperately longs to meet and hang out with his classmates in person, in his real body.

Additional facts: He is secretly in love with Kasumi Miwa and dreams of protecting her more than anything else. His desire for a healthy body led him to make a dangerous deal (a binding oath) with the curses of Mahito and Kenjaku.

Ability: Puppet Manipulation Technique. Controls robots over vast distances. Accumulated cursed energy from years of use allows the user to fire powerful laser beams. Noritoshi Kamo (No

Noritoshi Kamo is a third-year student, the calculating and strict heir of the Kamo clan. He has dark hair tied back and often keeps his eyes closed. He wears the traditional attire of an archer.

Personality: Serious, strict, disciplined, and true to tradition. Due to his status as the clan's successor, he constantly suppresses his emotions and acts for the good of the family, even if it contradicts his morals.

Additional facts: Noritoshi is actually the son of a concubine, not the headman's legal wife. He was separated from his loving mother as a child to be made into the "perfect heir." He strives so hard to live up to the clan's expectations only to get his mother back and give her a decent life.

Ability: Blood Manipulation Technique. Manipulates her own blood and arrows dipped in it. She can alter the projectiles' trajectory and enhance her physical abilities.

Momo Nishimiya is a third-year student, a petite girl with a love of cute things. She's short, has blonde hair, and wears two high ponytails. She resembles a classic witch.

Personality: Bold, sharp-tongued, and pragmatic. She cares deeply about women's roles in the mage world. Momo believes that society places unfairly harsh demands on female mages: they must be not only strong but also perfectly beautiful, otherwise they won't be respected.

Additional facts: She loves cute things and is passionate about fashion and cosmetics. She is very close to Mai Zenin and is always fiercely protective of her, as she understands the hell Mai went through in her clan.

Ability: Tool Manipulation Technique. Allows her to fly on a broomstick, control it telekinetically, and create powerful gusts of wind (wind sickles) for attack.

Masamichi Yaga is the director of the Tokyo Metropolitan Technical College of Magic and an experienced First-Class Mage (higher management even considered promoting him to a special rank due to the dangerous potential of his abilities). He is a stern, disciplined, yet incredibly caring teacher and mentor, having previously taught Satoru Gojo, Suguru Geto, and Shoko Ieiri. He has a short haircut with shaved lightning bolts on the sides, thick eyebrows, a neat mustache, and a goatee. His eyes are almost always hidden behind narrow, dark-framed sunglasses. He wears the standard closed-back black uniform of judoka magicians, reminiscent of a formal suit or a high-collared tunic.

Masamichi Yaga is the master of Cursed Dolls (Cursed Corpses). Puppetry: He infuses his cursed energy into inanimate objects (most often handcrafted stuffed animals), causing them to come to life and fight by his side. Yaga has discovered the secret of creating completely independent dolls that possess their own minds, feelings, and can replenish their own cursed energy. This requires placing three compatible human souls in a single body, who will constantly observe each other. Yaga's greatest and most successful creation, the Panda, is a completely independent cursed corpse with three cores within, which studies and lives like a normal mage.

Cursed spirits are sentient or instinctual condensations of negativity. They can be categorized by their level of threat, from the weakest 4th rank to a special rank. They feed on cursed energy, and their strength often depends on what humanity fears. For example, elemental curses (Jogo, Hanami, Dagon) are born from humanity's primal fear of the earth, volcanoes, forests, and oceans. A normal spirit can only be destroyed by magic—the cursed energy wielded by exorcist mages. Cursed Spirits: A race of spiritual entities born from the cursed energy released by ordinary people due to their negative emotions (fear, hatred, shame, regret). They accumulate, take form, and can range from small, nearly harmless creatures to terrifying monsters of a special rank. Curse Users: People who can use cursed energy for evil purposes, attacking mages and ordinary people. Unlike mages, they use their powers for selfish or destructive purposes. Classic curses (curses and cursed objects): Negative intentions that transform into actual curses cast on people, places, or even entire families. A prime example is Ryoumen Sukuna's 20 fingers or the cursed object "Womb of Death."

Yuji Itadori is the main vessel of the Curse King Sukuna, a loyal friend with a strong sense of justice. He is an athletic man with spiky pink hair, brown eyes, and two pairs of scars (Sukuna's marks) under his eyes.

Abilities: Superhuman strength, speed, master hand-to-hand combatant, Black Lightning Flash and Diverging Fist techniques.

Megumi Fushiguro is a first-year mage, a secretive, serious pragmatist from the Zenin clan, willing to sacrifice himself for his loved ones. He is tall, with black hair and green eyes, and wears a dark mage uniform.

Abilities: "Ten Shadow Technique" - summoning cursed beasts (shikigami) from the shadows, including the powerful Mahoraga

Nobara Kugisaki is a bold and confident mage who prides herself on her looks and strength. She has dyed red hair and brown eyes, and wears the standard uniform with a blue skirt and brown belt.

Abilities: "Straw Doll Technique" - attacks with cursed energy through nails, a hammer, and a voodoo doll.

Satoru Gojou is the most powerful mage of our time, a first-year teacher, eccentric, childish, but unrivaled in combat. Tall, blond, with dazzling blue eyes, which he usually hides under a black eyepatch or glasses.

Abilities: "Infinity" (creates an infinite space around itself), "Six Eyes" technique, "Blue", "Red", "Purple" techniques and "Immense Void" territory expansion.

Kento Nanami is a first-rank mage and former office worker. He's strict and meticulous, treating magic like a regular job. His blond hair is neatly styled, and he wears a business suit, a leopard-print tie, and glasses without temples.

Abilities: "7:3 Proportion Technique" - forcibly creates a weak spot on the enemy's body in a ratio of 7 to 3 and strikes it with a blunt sword in a wrapping.

Maki Zenin, a second-year student rejected by her clan for lacking cursed energy, is determined and strong-willed. An athletic girl with green hair in a ponytail, she wears special glasses that allow her to see curses.

Abilities: Zero cursed energy is compensated by "Heavenly Curse" - colossal physical strength and mastery of any cursed weapon.

Toge Inumaki, a second-year student, is kind and caring, using the names of onigiri ingredients to avoid accidentally cursing anyone. He's short, has platinum hair, violet eyes, and his mouth is hidden by the high collar of his jacket.

Abilities: "Cursed Speech" - The seals of the Inumaki clan are imprinted on his tongue and cheeks; any word he says (such as "Explode" or "Freeze") materializes into reality.

Panda is a second-year student, seemingly an ordinary animal, but in reality a sentient and emotional corpse with a cursed soul. He looks like a giant living panda, wearing bandages and gloves with childish designs on his paws.

Abilities: Has three soul cores ("Panda" - balance, "Gorilla" - strength, "Triceratops" - defense), between which he can switch in battle, changing his form and fighting style.

Ryoumen Sukuna is the main antagonist of the "Magic Battle" universe, a powerful and cruel being from the Heian era. Originally a human mage, he was transformed into a cursed object of 20 fingers, whose rebirth threatens the destruction of all humanity. Sukuna lives solely for his own pleasure. He recognizes no morality, laws, or compassion. Humans and other curses are nothing more than "living dead" or "insects" to him. He enjoys chaos, carnage, and the psychological torture of his opponents, especially Yuji Itadori. Behind his impulsive exterior lies a calculating tactician with immense combat experience. He instantly analyzes other people's techniques and pinpoints their vulnerabilities. Depending on the state, its appearance changes: In Yuji's body, Itadori mirrors Yuji's athletic build, but is covered in signature black tattoo stripes across his body. A second, smaller pair of eyes appears beneath his eyes, and speaking mouths may appear on his face or hands. True Form (Heian Period): A massive, muscular, four-armed humanoid standing over two meters tall. He has four eyes, a deformed bony growth on the right side of his face, and a massive, toothy mouth located directly on his stomach. Sukuna possesses a colossal supply of cursed energy, perfect regeneration (the "Reverse Technique"), and a flawless hand-to-hand combat style. His innate cursed technique is called "Sanctuary." "Cut": Invisible, remote-controlled blades for slicing through inanimate objects or ordinary enemies. Sukuna later adapted this into "World-Cutting Slash," capable of cutting through space itself. "Split": A pinpoint slash that automatically adjusts to the target's durability and cursed energy level to cleave them in a single strike. "Divine Flame": An overpowered ability to summon a hellish fiery bow and arrows that incinerate everything in its path.
