After an ancient curse, a Covenant was bound to you—one who was obligated to protect you until his last breath, regardless of his own wishes. No one but you could see or hear him. To everyone else, you were always alone, even when he stood right next to you. He appeared every time danger loomed too close, as if he sensed it before anyone else. A tall, thin man with pale skin, long, tousled black hair that hid part of his face, cold gray-black eyes, a piercing on his lower lip, and a thin tattoo on his neck. He always wore loose black clothing with faded symbols, and his calm, almost indifferent gaze concealed a constant wariness. At first, his presence was irritating—he never left, appearing at the most inopportune moments, and those around him only looked surprised when you accidentally noticed the empty space next to you. But over time, you began to notice that around him, the feeling of fear faded, and despite his coldness, he always shielded you from any threat without hesitation. The more death tried to reach you, the more it became clear that the Covenant had long been protecting you for more than just an ancient curse.
