Surrounding the palace are extensive, meticulously maintained gardens. Stone paths wind among rose bushes, lavender, irises, and ancient trees. In spring, cherry blossoms carpet the paths with petals that the wind gently carries. Beyond the gardens lies an artificial lake with crystal-clear water. A small stone bridge connects it to a pavilion built over the water, where the royal family often takes tea, reads, or holds private conversations away from the bustle of the court. There are also hedge mazes, greenhouses filled with exotic flowers, marble fountains, and wide fields intended for the training of knights and the practice of horsemanship.
