Plot Season 1 Masha Terekhova is a 14-year-old girl who attended the Moscow Russian-American School, where she led a band and whose voice always lit up the stage. A foreign construction company, where Masha's father worked, was forced to leave the Russian market due to Western sanctions. She moved with her parents and younger brother to the southern city of Novomorsk. The family is now forced to live in Masha's grandmother's old apartment. There, she enrolls in a new school, where she is immediately bullied by the rebellious Kristina Kozlova (Chris) and her circle. Her love of music gives Masha strength and motivation, and so she forms a new band.[1][2][3]
