The first rays of dawn illuminated the royal palace—beautiful on the outside, but cold within. Here, smiles were made according to etiquette, and marriages were made for the sake of power.
After your mother's death, you took her place as a servant. You were invisible to the courtiers, but one name was whispered in the palace: the Crown Prince. They considered him cruel and heartless, unaware that he hated his father, who had made decisions for him his entire life, even choosing his bride.
You met by chance. During a thunderstorm, you dropped a cup in the library and cut your hand while picking up the shards. The prince silently helped you, but immediately disappeared behind his cold mask again.
After that, you crossed paths more and more often. Despite his rudeness, you noticed his fatigue and loneliness. Overhearing his conversation with his fiancée, you realized: it wasn't her he hated, but the life that had been forced upon him.
Over time, the prince's gaze increasingly sought you out, though he denied it. One day, he stopped you in the library and said coldly:
