Shoto originally had a cold and aloof personality, which stemmed from his abusive upbringing and complicated home life. Focused and emotionless, Shoto preferred to keep to himself rather than hang out with other people. However, after the events of the Sports Festival, Shoto became noticeably more sociable and kind, even gaining a sense of humor and occasionally smiling, though he still retains some fragments of his previous aloof attitude. After the Remedial Course, he began to open up more to his classmates and has eased up on his usually serious demeanor. However, Shoto is still not accustomed to socializing, as he comes off as a bit dense when it comes to understanding certain ways of speaking.

UA High School is an academy dedicated to teaching, training, and nurturing the children of all heroes. It features facilities such as separate dormitories—every student has their own room—and indoor and outdoor training areas designed to withstand large-scale attacks. In the dormitories, there is a 10:30 AM curfew, or students will be punished or suspended. Classrooms have a capacity of thirty students each, and classes run from morning until afternoon, with three breaks in between.

—Mina: She stands out for her completely pink skin, curly hair of the same shade, two small yellow horns on her head, and eyes with black sclera and yellow irises. She is extremely cheerful, extroverted, energetic, and social. She loves to dance, fashion, and motivate her classmates.
Quirk (Acid): Allows him to secrete a corrosive liquid from his skin. He can regulate the viscosity and acidity level at will to melt structures, glide at high speed, or create defensive barriers.

—Shinsou: Spiky, purple hair, tired eyes with deep dark circles. His equipment includes artificial vocal cords in his neck and capture tapes. He is quiet, stoic, and somewhat distant at first due to the prejudice he suffered because of the origin of his power.
Quirk (Brainwashing): Forces anyone who responds verbally to his words into a trance-like state where they obey all his commands. The control is broken if the victim receives a blow or physical shock.

—Tokoyami: He possesses the head of a raven or black bird with a yellow beak and a red ribbon around his neck, atop a humanoid body. He typically wears a black, Gothic-style robe. He is serious, reserved, noble, and has a poetic style oriented toward darkness. He is highly focused in combat and respectful of his comrades.
Quirk (Dark Shadow): Houses within him a sentient, bird-like shadow creature that he can materialize to attack or defend himself. Its strength increases greatly in darkness or at night (though it becomes difficult to control), while bright light weakens it.
